We heard great recommendations about this place, and it was very nice and on a great beach. However, they were extremely rude when we were checking out and the whole dinner and sunset drinks were extremely overpriced. They did not explain that it would be a $100 US for a dinner for two and the dinner was not very good....

This review is long overdue. My wife and are planning our next trip to Costa Rica and we've been talking about our previous experiences. Last trip we spent 8 nights at Bahari Beach and we find ourselves looking for places that will be as friendly and comfortable as Bahari Beach Bungalows. We had a wonderful time. The owners and staff...

Stayed at Bahari this past week for Two nights. The only drawback was the road to get there. At the same time that is probably the reason that it is so unique. We stayed in one of the Two beach front bungalow tents which as mentioned numerous times do not equate to standard tent living. Beautiful bathrooms, comfortable large bed...

We travelled to Costa Rica with 3 other couples for a 2 week stay. We had 3 nights in a B&B, 4 nights at a private villa and 7 nights at Bahari. We loved the whole trip but Bahari was exactly what we were looking for. The roads in the area are terrible but that was part of the adventure....

This place was our favorite that we stayed at our whole 10 days in Costa Rica. We stayed here for 5 nights, and loved it!!! We had a "luxury tent"--one of the ones basically right on the beach, and it was cool!!!! The only thing was that they are hard to lock sometimes--it's just a padlock on the bottom of...

I agree: The setting is beautiful: Nice tents, nice pool, close to the beach. The beach itself, however, is not the nicest I have seen (further south there are much better beaches with less dangerous swimming). My main criticism is that the hospitality will only last as long as the wallet stays open. The restaurant is overprized. The waitress will...

My husband and I have traveled to Costa Rica numerous times and have stayed in many hotels, cabinas, etc all over the country and Bahari is my absolute favorite. The luxury tents are super cool -- unlike anything I've ever seen. They are right on the beach, are extremely clean and comfortable and the pool is excellent too. Matapalo is...

If you're looking for a beautiful location to relax, this is the place for you. It is right on the beach with your choice of pool or ocean. sunset cocktails were served daily. We stayed in a luxury tent. It had its own porch, and the bathroom was wonderfully tiled. The food is good - fresh fish daily - which...

We stayed at Bahari Beach Bungalows for 6 nights in September and absolutely loved it. We arrived a day earlier than planned as accomodations in Jaco were sketchy (to say the least). We were welcomed with open arms, our beachside tent was ready, and they started on Dinner for us right away. When I say "tent", dont get the impression...

We spent one night at Bahari Beach on the way back to San Jose from the Osa Peninsula. We had 2 tents for our family of 5. At Bahari Beach two tents are on the edge of the beach and two are set slightly back. The tents were very well appointed. The front of the tent is tiled and the...
