Visited Gunung Mulu National Park in Feb 2017. I didn't expect too much from this place as I found out about it accidentally, but it turned out to be superb. Unique nature, remote area, world's largest and longest caves and other exciting things! Few tips: 1) If you are considering to visit this place then add ~1-2 days extra into...

We stayed in Mulu for 12 nights, which is much longer than a lot of other people appeared to stay. During this time, we stayed in the hostel, the Rainforest Lodges and at Camp 5 (when we did the Pinnacles Trek). Every single room was great. The hostel was clean, had lockers, clean bathrooms, fans and a small kitchenette area....

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mulu National Park lodge. Our room was adorable, as is the rest of the park! The facilities are super new and nice, and our room was very comfortable, with jungle sounds all around us. The open air restaurant was good as well. We would love to return someday!

After staying at Bako national park we were a bit weary of what the facilities would be like here but it's world's (and prices apart!). We had a new twin room which was comfy, quiet and very nice, but also pretty pricey (but not considering where you are) and the food in the cafe varied and tasty and good for...

Mulu National Park Mulu is just a short flight away from KK. There was a 4wd to take us to Park HQ for 5RM, which is better than the long sweaty walk. I stayed in the Hostel inside the park; good value for 55RM per night (breakfast included)! The beds are spread out with many fans, a drying area for...

I just want to comment on the Hostel that belongs to the Park. The hostel itself is overpriced and not worth to spend the money. It seems to be a bit old and used and the bathrooms definitely have seen better days. For half the money we have had better hostels in Asia. Nevertheless the good thing is that it...

Visited in Dec 2015. I was so impressed with the layout of the park. The boardwalk throughout the park was in very good condition and allowed visitors to have a jungle trek in comfort and relative safety. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was working in Brunei and my children visited us from Canada during the X-mas holidays...

I found the quality of the bungalow was not quite what I would expect from what we paid for it. That is compared to all other places we have stayed in Malaysia and Borneo. But then; it seems everything is a bit more expensive at Mulu? The room was clean and beds nice, but the place smelled a bit of...

This is a great place to see plenty of wildlife including the bats and an amazing array of birds. The accommodation is lovely and more than adequate especially considering it is in a rain forest. The bungalows all have air conditioners and are very clean with great views from the balconies. We found all the staff very helpful and polite...

This is my second visit to Mulu after 11 years. The site has been well preserved and I did not find much changes. There are 4 caves open to public. Normally it takes two half-day tours to cover. These caves visits are spectacular, natural and interesting. The bats watching at around 5pm is amazing. The boat trip to the Clear...
