Just had a lovely 1 night stay - nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all very friendly and attentive. The hotel is a charming old building with beautiful grounds. We sampled the new spa and had fantastic treatments, would recommend a visit during your stay. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, quality ingredients and generous portions. The only...

We only stayed here for one night, but we wished we had stayed longer. There is plenty of outdoor activities to do nearby. The hotel grounds are amazing. The owner and staff are attentive and were so wonderful with our young children. The food (we ate both breakfast and dinner her... and we're not easy - some of us are...

We boked to stay here as our final stop on a road trip across the country. We booked a room for my wife, baby and I. The dog also accompanied us. The hotel was very dog friendly and the room had an amazing welcome pack for the dog that consisted of dog treats, food and poo bags. It also contained...

When I worked and lived in the area I had stopped for coffee and meals, ten years later we decided to stay for a couple of nights. The staff are very friendly, welcomes for human and active dog. Dog was given a welcome pack and there was plenty of towels at the door for muddy paws - plus a dog...

The food is really very nice indeed, and the wine is reasonably priced . A lot of work goes into the food , its interesting and well thought out, homemade bread, fresh vegetables, beautifully cooked and presented, lots...

A truly relaxing atmosphere pervades this former shooting lodge acquired by the current owners, Adam and Jan Moore, around 15 years ago. We have paid much more a short break in a country house hotel, but we have never felt such a sense of genuine welcome and hospitality from the ever-present management. Although the hotel is close to the A76...

We forgot to take the dog bowl and within minutes we had provided. Lovely home baking & gorgeous food in the restaurant at night. Lots of dog walks in surrounding...

Owners, staff and dog very welcoming, nothing was a problem. We spent 3 nights with our Chocolate Lab who was on her 1st stay at a hotel she did bark at a few guests for attention when they ignored her but none took offence and came and said hello. Will be back in summer.

Short visit to this lovely hotel which sits in beautiful grounds. Owners and staff lovely and couldn't be more helpful . Room was lovely and spotless. Lovely afternoon tea on arrival and the most wonderful evening meal. Many hotels now advertise 'Dog Friendly' but actually not the case. This hotel welcomed our four legged friend , remembered his name throughout...

2 night Weekend break with my partner - dinner, bed & breakfast. The location is Beautiful! The building is old but well maintained and has the necessary modern amenities (wifi, gch, power shower). All the foods are home made with local produce - every meal was delicious. The hotel staff are so relaxed and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...
