We didn't stay here but ate after we visited Bute. It's just by the ferry station. It's a friendly place with a cosy bar. Evening meals are served from 5.30pm which is earlier than others around. The girl behind the bar works her socks off. All our meals were tasty including a veggie meal specially made for our daughter. We...

This was our second visit at this hotel. We spent New Year's Eve and New Year and the last weekend. We really enjoyed the room and food. Lovely and very enthusiastic Polish lady made sure we had a lovely dinner. Beautiful views from the restaurant in the morning. We will come back.

The Colintraive Hotel has amazing views , amazing food and the nicest staff you could meet , everyone of them were friendly and attentive , when we said we would jump on the ferry to Rothesay ( 2 mins from the hotel and 5 minutes to cross ) we were given...

Our room had a lovely view of the bay, a comfy bed, and a sparkling new bathroom. The inn was a short walk from two lovely gardens, and was close to the ferry which went out to an island. The quaint setting was like stepping back in time, and the drive through the area was among the most beautiful in...

We stayed three nights at Colintraive Hotel, as my daughter was getting married nearby. The hotel has lovely views over the fields and Kyle of Bute. The room was very comfortable, spotless and well appointed. We stayed in a room with the view over the loch and it didn't disappoint. Patricia, her son and her staff could not have been...

We stayed at Eilean Dhu, 2 doors down and also owned by Patricia, but had family members staying in the hotel, so got to see 2 of the rooms. They are beautifully presented and very comfortable. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed, all of the staff are really friendly and Patricia is a great hostess. We had breakfast...

We spent 2 nights recently . This is our favourite Hotel. The food , service , personal attention, atmosphere and rooms were first class. What did puzzle us however , was , why is this fabulous hotel not mentioned in the Michelin Guide?

Stayed here as two couples. The accommodation is good with absolutely stunning views across the loch. Do take one of the rooms with a loch side view- so special ! The staff were excellent and the owner so welcoming . Food was wonderful with emphasis on local produce- well worth a visit from larger Scottish towns, quite unique!

Came across this Hotel at the Ferry crossing to Bute. Not much to look at from the outside, but inside, a Gastromic Cosmos. There are 4 rooms if you want to book a stay, but not much to do unless you like fishing, but the views around the area are stunning. Well worth a visit for the food though. The...
