Great Visit. Not a fault. We enjoyed very much everything to the establishment. Breakfast a good choice and tasty. They will accommodate various individual tastes as we found out. Well done, over the top and putting people off doing asking fir. two hundred characters .
Spent a little over a week here using Glendavan House as the hub of our daily touring. Wonderful secluded spot yet close enough to hit nearby towns for dinner at night and not have to drive too far back afterwards. Stunning hiking at Loch Muick, castles in every direction (both ruined and furnished), woolen tour at Johnstons of Elgin, shopping at the House of Bruar and of course the scotch trail (thoroughly enjoyed tour and cafe at Glenfiddich). Cooked breakfast from a wide menu every morning plus more starters (cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, berries, etc.) than we could possibly eat. Rebecca always had a press of coffee hot and ready for me as soon as I appeared each morning while my wife was getting ready. Absolutely made you feel at home. The house was in top shape and we had the front bedroom which had a sitting room with a fireplace (which was prepared for us each night), a glass conservatory which branched from that with a separate door and then the bedroom itself. Perfect if one spouse rises early- you can let your partner sleep while you read the paper or watch the birds and squirrels. Access to a small kitchenette furnished with drinks, coffee and tea, snacks and nightly deserts. Worth every penny and I would go back in a heartbeat! One of the best B&B experiences I have ever had.…
A stunningly beautiful, elegant and oh so very comfortable place to stay. We genuinely did not want to leave. We felt so spoiled with Becs' warm hospitality and delicious cooking. Memories to treasure. If heaven is real then please let it be exactly like our stay at Glendavan House with Becs. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay there. It is situated perfectly for feeling you have escaped to a countryside retreat but close enough to well recommended eateries for dinner and for sightseeing in this beautiful part of Scotland.
We spent a week at Glendavan and really enjoyed our stay. The host was friendly without being intrusive. The breakfasts were first class with lots of lovely fresh berries and Becs catered for our rather complicated dietary needs, vegan and low fat heart health diets. We were astonished to find ourselves entertained by red squirrels every time we looked out of the window, plus woodpeckers and treecreepers etc. The place is spotless and lots of little extras casually available which really tested my resolve to stay within the calorie controlled diet. Its a lovely area to visit, lots of castles and galleries and Forvie Nature Reserve is the most beautiful beach only one hours drive away. 5 stars stay Thank you
Rebecca an Lexi gave us the warmest welcome and we could not enjoy our stay more. This B&B tops it all we have seen/been so far. If you not stop at this beautiful B&B you definitly gona miss something. The location close to Loch Davan in the middle of the forest is just a very relaxing place. Rebecca was so lovely and beautiful that we did not want to leave anymore. Thank you again we would love to come back.
