We arrived late evening one Friday to a warm welcome and the best tasting scones. We were shown around made to feel very welcome and shown how to use the hot tub. The rest of the weekend was just perfect. The cottage had everything we needed from tea, coffee, milk, dressing gowns and even plastic wine glasses to be used...

Beautiful setting, beautiful looking house. The staircase is great! The room was comfortable and warm, very slightly dated in its bed linen. The bathroom in our room was carpeted (not always wise) and the position of the loo meant that if you were large you would have struggled to use it. The breakfast was very good, and we had to...

Just spent the last week in what is now known as our welsh home. We stayed in the self catering cottage which is perfect for us and our 10yr old as we can come and go as we please without disturbing anyone. The cottage is equipped with washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and kettle. What made this stay even...

We stayed here as a group of 7 this weekend as we were attending an event in the area. To us, the purpose of the stay was for somewhere half decent to rest our heads overnight for a 6:30am start and breakfast. We arrived at the hall at around 11pm on the Friday evening - by prior arrangement, before quietly...

In response, the above party were booked in as 6 guests and paid online as 6 guests but my suspicion was confirmed in the review as they admit there were 7 guests, therefore 1 unpaid. This is the first time this has happened in 24 years of running this business. I have met many rallying crews over the years with...

After lots of searching for the right place for myself, my husband and our daughter to stay we booked at Trefnant Hall with Jane. On arrival, Jane made us feel very welcome, with fresh flowers and chocolates in the cottage and a pot of tea and her homemade barabrith waiting for us. The cottage was the perfect size for us...

We checked into this beautiful inn and stayed in the self catering apartment. There were numerous spiders in the corners of every room. The carpeting was dirty and the corners on the floor were filled with cobwebs and insect carcasses. The setting was lovely. The building was beautiful but the housekeeping was not so great.

Just come home from what must be our 10th year visiting Trefnant, lovely welcome as always from Jane. We stayed in the self catering cottage which is perfect for couples or families with a single child as there is only 1 bedroom with a double and single bed, its very homely and comfortable equipped with everything you need. The view...

This farm bed and breakfast is about a 10 minute drive (at the most) from downtown Welshpool. I found this to be much preferable to staying in the city. It is very close to Powis Castle and, in fact, I was told it sits on the castle estate. Jane was a fantastic host. The room was comfortable and the vista...

and high on my list of places to re-visit. Quiet. Hilly fields of every colour wherever you look, lambs & robins galore & much moo-ing in the distance. A beautiful 18C home with a warm welcome of coffee/tea scones/cake. An excellent filling breakfast. Rooms are spacious & spotless all with wondrous views. Plenty of parking. Freedom to come and go.Close...

Excellent stay at the amazing Trefnant Hall. David and Jane are wonderful hosts, fab food, beautiful scenery and extremely quiet. Perfect location for visiting the castles of Wales and other attractions. This was our second stay and well worth a visit. Top class.
