Beautiful setting in lovely countryside, with nice garden and field of sheep behind. The room was large and immaculately clean, simple but well decorated. Lovely big bathroom and large separate shower room. Could have done with some sheer lace/voile curtains -as overlooks the garden/field, but pity to have to pull dark curtains for an afternoon rest/bath. The food was simple...

Coped with our party of seven with several named tabs for bills...charming staff and really good food. Lovely setting by the bridge and castle...been before (year ago) and was just as good. Thoroughly recommend this place

This country inn has a wonderful unworldly atmosphere: in winter its cosy and welcoming... smoky fires, squashy sofas, in summer the views are fabulous and setting glorious. The rooms are completely individual and feel like real bedrooms rather than boutique hotel. The food is delicious, if I wanted to be picky, sometimes too much meat not enough green, but otherwise...

Allowed to bring in our well behaved, clean, small Cockerpoo in to the main dining area, although there is also a separate 'Dog and Boot' bar for walkers. The welcome was warm and the ale (Wye Valley HPA) was in good form. Initially we were out for pub grub at the Garway Inn across the border, but it was closed...

This was a last minute booking for a one night stopover. We arrived at about 8pm and were warmly welcomed. The restaurant was still open (until 9pm) and so we booked a table for 8.45pm. Our room was clean and cosy and overlooked the garden and hills. The decor was very pleasant and there was a lovely feel to the...

We had a lovely room with views over the garden. It was a good size room with very comfy super king size bed but also a pointless roll top bath in the room itself. The space would have been better used to put a sofa in. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was very good and the...

What a beautiful spot, by the bridge over the river Monmow. Beautiful window boxes full of spring flowers, service was very friendly and welcoming on what must have been a busy service. Roast lunches superb, and hake with risotto 😋

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at The Bell. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room was elegant in decor. Bed very comfortable. Fresh coffee and shortbreads etc in room was much appreciated. Nice bathroom A big step up to bath and then step over to shower - care is needed here. Wi-fi very good. Robes available. Flat screen tv that...

Stayed for a late autumn break for a few nights. Very comfortable room with massive four poster bed. Bathroom on mezzanine level up stairs in room . At the front with view of the road and river Monmow but not at all noisy at night. Good walking county. Food decent and enjoyable although not the level the menu might suggest...
