My daughter and her baby girl and myself had a most relaxed Easter weekend on Kamalame Cay. Arrived by seaplane, my dream transportation, greated with a big smile by staff in a golf cart, had a lovely lunch and than drove to our beach bungalow right on the beach. Lovely room overlooking the ocean. In the morning you have a...

My husband and I spent 9 nights at Kamalame Cay. What a fabulous week! Our cottage suite was amazing - beautiful room right on the beach with gorgeous views of the water. So private!! We would open our 3 sets of french doors every day and get the ocean breeze flowing through our villa. There were days we never saw...

While the white sand beaches, privacy and adorable bungalows should make for the perfect vacation, I am perplexed why this 5 star resort can't get the little things right. They asked us to fill out forms before we arrived at the hotel. When we got there we had to fill the same forms out! We had been traveling for 10...

We just returned from an amazing stay. My husband and I feel like KC was almost perfect! From start to finish the staff (who are so much more ) was there to make everything as smooth and fun as possible. They were truly engaged in wanting us to enjoy our time there and elevating our experience. Donny's enthusiasm was contagious...

I can't imagine giving Kamalame anything less than five stars! Like many visitors, my husband and I are well travelled and have stayed at superb properties all over the world. Kamalame offers privacy, excellent food (comparable to Boston and NY fine dining establishments) and the ambiance of a fine tuned coastal property on a gorgeous 3 mile long beach. We...

We've been visiting family on Andros Island for a number of years and try our best to get to Kamalame every time we're there. Kamalame Cay is by far, our absolute favourite place to vacation. We love the super chill vibe the island has to offer. It's a place where you feel like family and never want to leave. From...

Firstly, there should be no bad reviews for this little island gem. The sheer beauty of the beach and the feeling of privacy coupled with exceptional food along with the warmth of the people running the place is what makes this a destination not to be missed on your bucket list. Are things perfect?..No.. but this is an 'island resort'...

My partner and I have just returned from staying at Kamalame Cay. We have been privileged to travel all over the world and stay in some of the most beautiful locations but Kamalame Cay tops them all, it's a truly unique experience. In today's world we all live such busy hectic lives, if you are looking for somewhere where you...

This is just not a #1 ranked hotel. I've been to 3 other 5-star boutique beach resorts where TV's are not present and the focus is on spending time with family and friends in a beautiful natural environment just as Kamalame presents itself online. The truth is, It does not make sense to spend this kind of money in exchange...

Kamalame ticks so many boxes; gorgeous beaches, great food, outstanding fishing, chilled vibe, wonderful hosts, charming accommodation....I'm running out of adjectives here! It is a trek from the UK. This time we had a night in Nassau before catching the early LeAir flight, it worked out fine. I understand it might be just as easy to fly into Miami then...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located off the northeast coast of Andros, and accessible only by private ferry or seaplane, the secluded family-owned Bahamian island of Kamalame Cay caters to a comfortable group of guests at any given time. Idyllic and isolated, this oasis of breathtaking natural beauty wraps ocean adventure and island romance in the luxury of a private island experience.A quick flight from major hubs such as New York, Toronto and Miami, yet worlds away from Nassau’s trendy, resort-lined beaches, Kamalame’s utterly private accommodations are tucked into 96-acres of swaying palms and flowering tropical foliage. A lush oasis ringed by three miles of deserted, white-sand beach and colourful coral gardens, the warm, turquoise waters just off shore teem with manta ray, parrotfish and blue tangs.Kamalame Cay is an idyllic escape for those whose idea of paradise is a tropical hideaway where a sarong is all that’s required to be ‘dressed’ for dinner.Modern interpretations of classic Bahamian cuisine combined with sophisticated wines and spirits, comfortable elegant island décor, and one of the only overwater spas in the Caribbean underscore Kamalame’s gracious 'barefoot chic’ character.Traced by white sand pathways, the island’s beautifully landscaped jungle of sea grapes, palms and coco plums is banked by pristine mangrove fields and a pristine coast scattered with conch shells and starfish; the wide variety of birdlife ranges from sandpipers, herons and cranes to finches, pink ibis and pelicans.Sliced into the Silver Palms that embrace the island, the Great House serves as a welcoming social hub for dining and cocktails and is just a few steps from the heated, freshwater pool, sweeping ocean views and al fresco beach bar. With myriad diversions – from spa programs to world-class diving, snorkelling, fishing and sporting excursions – Kamalame takes pleasure in tailoring every guest’s experience to individual tastes. ... more   less
