We traveled to the Bahamas on May 8th, 2012. We have never been to the Bahamas before, but have been to many other all-inclusive hotels. This was a disappointment from the very first day. Customer service was horrible. Be prepared to pay for every little help that you might receive from the hotel staff. First they placed us in a...

We stayed an entire week at Riu Palace. First, the service at the hotel was amazing, always greeting us and making sure we were fine and comfortable. They even called us twice while we were there to find out how we were doing. The room was nice, big and very clean. We did not see any mosquitoes or any other...

My husband and I went to the Riu for our honeymoon on May 20th. The resort was everything that I had expected from the reviews that I had read on this website if not better. Check is was fine; the staff seemed to be prepared for our group’s arrival. The room was what I would consider average. The cleaning staff...

On May 19, 2012 I visited the Riu Palace in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Upon our arrival I noticed mold in the shower on the ceiling. The first night after we went to bed, my husband said he felt something biting him. The next morning he had bites on his back. We didn't think much about it thinking it was mosquito...

I just got back today from the Bahamas and we stayed at the Riu Palace. When we first arrived there were no rooms available. We waited for 3 hours to get a room. Finally the manager said that there was a room available, but they had pushed the queen size beds together, and also told us that it was an...

Good news: Very nice hotel and outstanding sandy beach - although it could be cleaned more frequently. Free loungers but have to pay for umbrellas. Lots of food three times a day. Drink all you want any time of day. Great friendly staff. Bad news: Rooms were not ready when we got there at 4am due to flight delay. Some...

If you are looking for an all inclusive location in the Bahamas, but still want to be near the action this is a great place. Riu took over this hotel and really have done a decent job with it. The food is not too bad, nothing spectacular, but pretty good for an all inclusive. The staff is extremely friendly and...

To start off, the resort is TINY, one small swimming pool with area around it to sit and walk, that's it. the only included activity is ping pong, but don't waste your time, table is busy most of the day. here's THE WORST PART: you have to pay $25/day for an umbrella at the beach if you want one, otherwise...
