We returned to STT and Flamboyan (aka Magen's Point Resort / MPR) in March for our annual visit. (Full disclosure - we are interval villa owners). As usual, we found the resort to be clean, laid back and as we've mentioned before - like our 2nd home. The staff welcomed us and our room was ready. In the unit we...

Food was trendy and delicious! Vegetarian friendly. No kid menu, but our two split a burger and fries. We sat outside by the pool. Super pleasant. Great service. Not busy. A little pricey, but worth it

Stayed at the resort to attend our daughter's wedding while she was in port on a cruise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not rent a car. We took taxis everywhere, which can add up, but we are not interested in driving in St. Thomas. Room was okay. Needs updating and attention. The room was clean and...

This was my second visit to the resort to celebrate my friend's birthday who lives on island. The event was hosted at the resort. Excellent! The property is charming (two nice pools and hot tubs), friendly accommodating staff (Lori the GM is super), comfortable rooms (stove, frig, microwave -- but it didn't take pictures 😄, complete set of dishes; pots...

I was traveling around St Thomas with my family on a beach day, and after visiting Lindqvist beach, we found ourselves driving toward Magens Bay in need of some food. We came upon the Flamboyan by accident, following signs we sighted for their cafe/deli, "The Cup and Cork." The resort itself is tucked away high up on the heavily forested...

This is a very relaxing place to stay. Staff is personable and welcoming. The restaurant on the premises, Three Sheets, is excellent. Pools, grounds, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Our best to Viola, Amber, and Laurie

If you are looking for a relaxing, laid back vacation, this is the place. They were very friendly and helpful, just not a lot to do at the resort itself. A rental car is a must. The resort is older, but it was clean and well maintained. You can tell that they are working hard at it. Bring some good...

The Flamboyan on the Bay is a nice place for a few days or longer. Good restaurant and bar around the upper pool. Our room was a studio, and accordingly was small. It had all the amenities you needed, but was narrow and therefore cramped. This is a statement, not a complaint toward the hotel, as I choose that room....

We arrived and were greeted with a friendly and helpful staff explaining all the functions and amenities of the property. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and overlooked Megan's beach one of the top ten beaches in the world. There are two fresh water pools with plenty of room for lounging and two hot tubs. The restaurant on the...

Escaped the cold the week after Thanksgiving. Had never been to St. Thomas before. Everyone seems to know this place as Magens Point, but the name is Flamboyan now. A little hard to find at first, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of the roads on the island, they are poorly marked, but locals are very helpful...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is a two and a half star, unpretentious and very relaxed resort facing Magens Bay. Our facilities include two restaurants, one Italian finer dining featuring a wine-mojito bar, and the pool sports bar with burgers, bbq, pizza and sandwiches. We offer two jacuzzis, tennis courts, a coffee-deli-wine on site shop with breakfast, a gaming room, a small fitness center offering also yoga, zumba and massage services. All our studios and villas have been tastefully redone, and are fully equipped with kitchenettes, microwaves and small fridges, plus energy efficient air conditioning units. Most units also face Magens Bay, and you can wake up to spectacular views of the bay, or watch the sun set from your balcony while sipping the cocktail of your choice.Last year RCI awarded us recognition for excellence in hospitality services, and since 2010 we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading our facilities. We may not be for everyone, true. But if you are looking for that "limin" effect that locals brag about.. come stay with us. We promise you an unforgettable experience. Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is what the islands should be all about. ... more   less
