Be sure to get there before dark, otherwise, they'll close the gate and you won't be able to get inside. If you have a roller bag, be prepared to hand carry it up many steps, there were maybe about 50 to our room. No elevator or escalator. There is a free breakfast from 8:00am to 9:30am everyday. You can select...

stayed one nite. room was clean, view nice. But 80 steps (I counted them) from the street to our room! Our cabdriver told us he waited in the car with the doors locked because the neighborhood was bad.

Ok for a day as a layover. Some rooms don't have their own bathroom (ours did), but the room we rented was small and had no windows, either in the bedroom nor the bathroom. The people that run the Galleon House are very friendly. St. Thomas is a little rough at night, but if you just want to get some...

Again we travelled to St. Thomas in the U.S.Virgin and stayed at the Galleon House. We cannot express how much we adore this place...yes the stairs are a workout but the view is worth it. Gale is a wonderful person always ready and willingly to help out.. a thank you also goes out to Chris....love your place and "yes" we...

We stayed here prior to renting a catamaran and setting sail to explore the islands. The room was exactly what we needed: a comfy bed, a nice bathroom and air conditioning. Only a short walk to downtown and the open-aire market. Coffee was ready when we woke up. Breakfast is served between 8-9:30 and had 3 menu choices: bacon or...

I stayed here as part of an island hopping trip and needed somewhere central for ease of access to and from the airport for a one night stay. Right in the centre of Charlotte Amalie smack in the middle of the historic sites and within walking distance of plenty of places to eat and drink by day. At night the...

Nothing fancy, but just how we like it. Clean and tidy and friendly. A good breakfast and a small swimming pool. Close to town, but quiet. A short taxi ride from the ferry dock. We would definitely stay again. Thanks, Alan and Sue

A friend and I stayed here for a night on a girls trip to St Thomas before checking in to a time share. My friend got there first and while waiting on me got the inside scoop of what to do and where to go on the island. I arrived late at night and was accidently locked out since my...

We stayed here for three nights before going to St john. The hotel is up on a hill and then up quite a flight of stairs, so if you have a hard time getting around don't bring heavy bags, but once up there you have a great view of the town, ocean and harbor. This view is from the deck...

This was our second stay. The location is great. The staff was very good yet the facilities in general need a bit of upgrade. It's getting a bit run down. AC sounded like a lawn mower running. Ceiling fan had a lot of whatever on it that I feared might sling off on us in the middle of the night....
