On a recent trip to St. Croix from New York, my family and I had the pleasure of interacting with Hillarine, the front desk agent during our stay at the hotel, and she truly made our experience memorable. We were a large group traveling for an unfortunate occasion, and from the moment we arrived, Hill greeted us with warmth and compassion. She was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in our group had everything they needed. Whether it was coordinating rooms, offering recommendations, or making sure all of our requests were handled with care, Hillarine made everything so much easier for us. Her hospitality and genuine concern for our comfort made a difficult time much more manageable. We truly appreciated her help and the thoughtful way she took care of everything. Thank you, Hillarine, for making our stay as smooth and stress-free as possible!

The Caravelle is a great location right on the boardwalk with shops, activities and restaurants a few steps away. The hotel has a Casino for those who indulge and the Staff was great. Frances helped me before I arrived answering questions about the resort and assisting me with a contact for transportation. We had a very enjoyable stay and made friends, enjoyed great food and the beach was a 5 min water taxi away. All of the Staff were very accommodating, giving information about the area.

If you want to be in Christianstead, this is the best hotel for you!!! It is convenient to the bars and restaurants on the Boardwalk as well as the shops downtown. I have traveled to St. Croix before, but rented a villa and ended up needing a rental vehicle. You don't necessarily need a rental if you are at Caravelle. Also, this spot is just a short taxi ride the the beach. There is a dive shop and dock where all of the excursions leave, right outside of the gate.
The room appeared to have been recently renovated. The bed was very very comfortable. We were given 2 complimentary bottles of water daily, unlike some resorts that charge for water. The onsite casino was a nice 10 minute distraction for me. I am not a gambler, but just stopped in for fun.

Thank you for staying with us! We're so glad we were able to provide you a convenient and comfortable place right in town. This is great advice for other travelers to St. Croix, especially those that prefer not to learn to drive on the left hand side of the road :) See you again!

Agree with others, we stayed here a while ago and the place is in dire need of a spruce up. Housekeeping could have been more thorough. The location is a plus and a minus - close to nearby food options, but can be very noisy at night time. Also, there is ZERO soundproofing between rooms. We heard every cough and other noise from the next room. We could even hear entire sections of conversations! Not ideal.
We had a nice view of the ocean and the boardwalk from the room. Overall it is not a horrible option, but it really feels more like a motel than a true hotel experience.

Would not recommend staying here if you value rest and relaxation! The pool is currently closed for renovation, which makes sense as the common area of the hotel is very basic and needs an upgrade. Though the rooms are solid — beds are comfortable and the rooms are large.
One thing to note if you have kids or value your sleep on vacation: the walls are paper thin — we could hear our neighbors’ 5 AM alarm and the music they had on all day and night. We cut our 3 night stay short to move to another hotel for 2 more nights.

First timers to the island, so we did a lot of hand wringing and reading reviews before committing to a place to stay. Have to say we were astonished at how well run and nice this hotel was. Onsite secure parking, a beautiful pool area overlooking the boardwalk, super easy access to multiple restaurants, shops, and more. It was clean, they had endless hot water, the oceanfront rooms were very affordable - we will absolutely be back!

Can not express how wonderful my solo trip was to St. Croix. Loved, Loved the people. The town of Christiansted was very quaint, very walkable and the people so friendly and helpful. In visiting the other islands , on the US territory, I will definitely come back to St. Croix again. In regards to the Hotel Caravelle, I loved it. Room was airy and clean. Bed was soooo comfortable. Loved the shower. My room was facing the ocean. The only issue was you could hear the people in the next room. Walls very thin. Shoot out to the office staff. They were so courteous and helpful. If you need a taxi, please ask for Mr. Wyndell. He was my go to the entire stay.

Customer service and cleanliness is very important to me. My experience when I entered the Caravelle Hotel was superb! Ms. Hillerine soft spoken, calm welcoming spirit when I entered the door made me realize I chose the right hotel!! I had a small issue with my first room and when I went down to let Ms. Hillerine know, she changed my room and was very apologetic. My room was very clean with a wonderful view overlooking the water.
Ms. Hillerine has been working for Caravelle hotel for 29 years. This is amazing!! Everyone has been so nice and welcoming. Thank you Ms. Hillerine and staff for a wonderful experience! ❤️

Last time I stayed at the Caravelle was shortly after the Hurricane in 2017. The hotel was damaged, but the staff was who doing it's best the make the stay comfortable. I purposely booked this stay to see how they had gotten on and I was excited to see that the renovation and repairs are complete. What a difference!!! Modernized room great bathroom. My highest expectations were exceeded. Now the Caravelle is not only in one of the best location on St Croix it is also one of the best hotels and as always Rum Runners did not disappoint.

I stayed at the Hotel Caravelle for 3 nights and it was really lovely. The bathrooms are updated, the rooms have a microwave and a fridge, perfect for a longer stay. The best part was the staff! Ms. Hilarine in the reception area was accommodating and kind. She always greeted me when I cane in after a long day and ensured that all of my requests were taken care of. Will definitely stay here again!
