This is truly a mixed review with the good and the bad. Expecting more for the money may not be fair because St. Croix is overall an expensive place to visit. We had a beautiful view from our 2nd floor room, on the end, middle building. My 2 main complaints: housekeeping was very inconsistent and the grounds of the property...

Staff is not responsive to resolve issues. Door to rooms leaves large space to allow for bugs, frogs and anything else to come under the door. Disco bingo in restaurant makes it impossible to get a meal at the property while staying there. Wait staff at restaurant extremely rude and unprofessional.

Just got back from an awesome stay! I wanted an affordable tropical vacation with a hotel on the beach. This place was perfect. Grab a burger a pina colada and sit on a lounge chair under a Tiki Umbrella HEAVEN ! I'm reading about maintenance about this place? It's not Vegas so I'm not looking for state of the art...

March 2016 This resort is a premier location on the island. You can't swim in front of the hotel because of the rocks but there are beaches to swim on the resort property 10 minute walk. The resort has a guard gate and is very safe. I wouldn't walk around downtown in Christianstead or Fredrickstead after dark without my husband....

I spent a week at the Tammarind and was very satisfied. The rooms are very large, clean, and nice. The staff are all very friendly. The wifi works great. A downside is the access to the water. Where you get in, there are literally hundreds of sea urchins, so be sure to wear some type of beach shoes. We stayed...

First, the good news. The view from my room (29) is stunning as shown by the video I posted. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Internet access was fast and easy. The not so good news is that the facility needs to be better maintained. The controls for the window shutters were stripped, so I...

We were lucky to even get a room during the busy season after another resort cancelled our confirmed reservation. We had a kitchenette on the first floor with fantastic sea view. The staff at Tamarind Reef Resort was very accommodating in moving us to a different room, when on our 3rd night, the people in the next room partied until...

I come to the Tamarind twice a year and wish I could come more often. Its not a "fine resort" its accommodations are clean and basic. Its the fact that your porch is literally 20 feet from the ocean that makes this place awesome. Also has the best beach activities that are all free! The restaurant/bar is excellent everyone is...

Stayed in high season-good and helpful staff. Building is older so don't expect uber sleek and modern buildings. But very nicely accommodates to the surroundings in St Croix. The resort has very nice pool and beach area. There is a very nice book/beach area bar and grill. A marina adjoins the property which one can book trips

We were so grateful to check into this waterfront resort after staying someplace seedy the night before. We were upgraded to a suite for free and the sliding doors opened straight out to the water! Sunrises and moonrises were amazing. The Restaraunt was great, especially the Tuna Tantalizer which we had daily. There were tons of family activities like Disco...
