My husband and just returned from our vacation at St Croix. The Hotel on the Cay resides on it's own little island in a lovely, tropical setting. It IS an older hotel, so the room we got wasn't perfect. There were a few cracks in the ceiling plaster and the plastic furniture on the balcony was a little bit rickety....

Had the best family vacation with children 10 and 12...AND their parents! They learned to snorkel and we couldn't get them out of the water....they Loved IT! When I asked them what their FAVORITE thing they did was...the Crab Races. There are several places to participate in the "races" including the Harbormaster Restaurant on the hotel beach on Thursdays. That...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel on the Cay last week. Our room had the best view over looking Christiansted. The room was no frills but nice, clean and seemed to be remodeled fairly recently. We had a fridge and toaster. Another reviewer mentioned an ant problem and we had some tiny ants but nothing out of control. I...

Loved everything about this little gem, from the fact that you have to take a boat ride to the private island it sits on to the beautiful views of Christiansted from the room windows and grounds to the lovely little private beach to relax on. While we never swam in it the pool area was nice and clean and well...

The hotel is only accessible via boat, which is unique and kind of fun to take their little ferry back and forth. When we arrived at the hotel, my first impression was it was a small average, quaint hotel. However, we did arrive when it was dark. In the morning, I noticed the water displays, including the pool, were in...

Dear Udkasers, Thank you for your feedback. It is good to hear that you have enjoyed the variety of offering at the hotel. St. Croix is laid back. Do not stay here if you're a jerk that can't accept this hotel is older. It's on its own little island, and they're fixing up rooms. Sure there are little quirks here and there, but you accept it. It has its own little beach, and a bar. The bed was comfortable. It was a good...

If you value a prime Caribbean location and can survive without many amenities and luxuries, this could be your next beach resort. That is St. Croix and certainly is this hotel. Rooms are basic. Most have good beds, small kitchenette - with cabinets, sink, fridge and microwave - and updated tv and bathroom. Wake up to the sights and sounds...

We thought this would be fun, to be on a little Cay across from Christiansted. We were right! It was a delightful stay. They have a launch that shuttles Hotel Guests back & forth between the Hotel and the Town - takes 2 minutes and runs 24 hrs/day. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a sofa, chairs, king...

The Hotel on the Cay is like something out of a Fairy Tale. You have to take a Ferry across from Christiansted Pier to a small island. The people and staff there are so interested in making your stay perfect. The restaurant on the Island itself Called "The Harbor Master' has wonderful food. They start serving breakfast at 7:00 am...

This Hotel is one of my Favorites. The hotel is on its own little island. About 7 acres big. Nothing fancy but perfect spot. Water activities and a beautiful beach right out the front door. A five min boat ride and you are with in walking distance of shopping, restaurants and night life.
