Had a lovely room in this mixed condo/hotel complex. Low key, low rise, and walking distance to small row of shops and restaurants. Beautiful beach, no hassle - although di have to swim within roped area as new boat channel. Hotel restaurant is almost on the beach, and serves big American breakfasts. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We just returned from our 4th visit to Provo and the Sands, and again, were not disappointed. After requesting the same room we had during last year's visit, we were delighted to find out our request had been met. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly this time (I would not say they've ever been "unfriendly", just seemed like...

my family has stayed here for nearly 10 years. We made our last reservation 365 days ago as we checked out last year. We need two two bedroom units on the ground floor close to each other to accomodate little ones and a senior with arthritis. We requested specific rooms by number. I called them three times to confirm, including...

We stayed for 8 nights in April as a family of three in a studio apartment. The hotel is great but there are a couple of issues that the hotel should address - which other of this class in other destinations do better (see 'cons' below). The location lovely. You definitely should have a car! I spoke to a couple...

Our family chose this not-all-inclusive resort because we wanted to incentivize ourselves to dine off-property some nights, see a bit more of the island than just the resort. That worked out well, and we had a fine time. The site is spectacular, along an amazingly beautiful beach. There is not another developed site immediately to either side of the property,...

We were at Sands for a week at the end of January 2017. Our room was on the 3rd floor which was to our liking - no one above us to make noise. The stairs are outside and not for those with hip problems. The room was very quiet until the renovations started, thank goodness it was at the end of...

I would stay here again; a little pricey, but great place and awesome location to stores/restaurants/groceries. Read more below for details. We stayed in a garden view condo that had a kitchenette. It was a great room on the main floor and it was pretty quiet in terms of guests (building 6). Only complaint is that it was right next...

Dear Jadedbyidiocy, Thank you for your recent feedback on your stay. We appreciate your comments and will share them with the entire team. Indeed the garden view rooms are lovely, but we were sorry to learn the staff was a little too loud and will review this with the appropriate managers to correct. I recently returned from a 9 night stay at The Sands with my partner and my parents. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view condo, which had a full kitchen and two en-suites. Everything was maintained to a high standard, including the swimming pools and gardens. The staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. We...

Was traveling with 4 girl friends and this is our first stay at the Sands. My third trip to Turks. We had a 5 night stay toward the end of March. I was very surprised at the number of families here at this time as I thought school spring break wasn't until April. Not a big deal but there was...
