Hoping to return to this hotel after my trip in 2014, I booked through BOOKING.COM to go to the hotel over Christmas and new year. I read the terrible reviews about facilities closed, hygiene issues, staff in strike, people looting the hotel. I called BOOKING.COM to cancel my booking and to retrieve the 2 day deposit that had coincidentally left...

We stayed at this resort in November for 10 days. We did have a lovely holiday as we were not going to let all of the negativity ruin our long anticipated break. The resort has now closed down! Only three restaurants were ever open (and sometimes only two...and this is after you have booked which is compulsory) with extremely limited...

Believe the horror stories - they are all true. And I will add to that the fight that awaits you when you get home to get some kind of compensation from the Travel Agents. The only plus point was the friendliness of the staff that were not on strike, we felt desperately sorry for them.

Had a lovely holiday here, do not understand what all the bad reviews are combing from. The staff was lively food was great and lots of lazing around the pool. They had the buffet which had all types of cuisine, we visited the local which was really good people was so friendly. Hotel room was perfect.

Buccament Bay Vacation. Sad. Day 1 December 3 Arrived in Kingstown to find the transportation we prepaid was not there. Hired a taxi to get to the resort. The entrance to the resort was blocked by angry picketers. They haven't been paid in four months. With no possibility of immediate return home we are escorted into the resort. At the...

I live 4-5 months each year on the island of St. Vincent. Over the past several years, I have followed the development of Buccament Bay Resort, a high end vacation destination catering to the well-to-do. They served an excellent luncheon buffet overlooking two swimming pools and the incredibly beautiful Caribbean. It would have rated a 5 star review. End of...

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Buccament Bay from the 10th-21st November. We were very disappointed on our arrival as this is definitely not a 5* star resort. More like 2*-3*. The accommodation is clean and well-appointed, the staff in general are trying their best to cope with a bad situation. We experienced the following during our...

I was booked for my husband and I to stay at the buccament bay next year . They are asking customers to "bear with us" and nothing they are saying or doing seems sympathetic or sincere , not only are they putting my husband and I through a lot of disappointment by the buccament bay being closed and not compensating...

Just returned from a horrific and deceptive stay at Buccament Bay Resort in St. Vincent. Lovely pictures of what was a beautiful and well appointed resort enticed me to go for a relaxing vacation. Until two weeks ago when the majority of the staff decided to strike, the property was magnificent and the best the island had to offer. Upon...
