Full disclosure - I didn't stay in the hotel part. However I did spend some time at the bar and I ate the food. Food prices are good. Food is okay -- not bad actually. Drinks -- well it is a bar with great island ambiance. As for snorkeling close by, it is good and relatively in

Friendly, professional and fun staff. Restaurant has better prices than in Georgetown but you can surely venture the 10 min to get there for the experience. Breakfast is good and filling and comes with your stay. The gallery below the hotel is lovely with the well know Cathy Chu

We were part of a group of 16 divers that stayed at Sunset House from November 25th through December 2nd, 2018. Overall we had a wonderful time and I can’t say enough positive things about a few individuals. Namely Emma and Kathy who were terrific at making sure everything all a

Just spent a week at Sunset House for a dive vacation. Staff at the front desk, and in the restaurant and bar areas, are friendly and accommodating.
Rooms are nothing fancy but they're clean, and a good size. Water pressure in the shower is good. I would recommend bringing a slee

Hi Emma, this is a follow up to my first question. We don't think we will be off the ship and be there by taxi before 10 (i'm guessing). So we will miss that morning trip. We will be there on 12/26. I'm going to ask a few others in our group if they are interested. How many can you take if they can go on a later trip? Assuming it would be a mixed group of divers / snorkelers. Ty

looks like everyone answered by questions, thanks so much, see ya in december :)
Sunset has been recommended by our local dive shop where we live in florida. We are coming in December. I snorkel and my husband dives. Can we come straight from the ship and spend the day there (have lunch) then he can go on a Dive and I can stay and snorkel by myself (i'm an experienced snorkeler. Is there a place nearby to hang out and wait for him to return or do you have any where to relax ? Thanks.
This is Emma from Sunset House. We would love to have you dive and snorkel with us while your cruise ship is in port. As a number of users have mentioned our dive boat usually leaves before cruise shippers can normally reach our location. However your husband can certainly shore dive, either with other divers that are around or you can reserve on our dive team as a guide. If you wish to do this then it does need to be pre-booked. You are more than welcome to snorkel while your husband is diving. We have our freshwater pool area and the sea pool to hang out at, and you can also eat and drink at My Bar on site. Call our toll free number or email should you wish more details.

Was this hotel once the oldest on the island with a saltwater swimming pool? The rooms were sufficient and we could walk to town. Snorkeling was right there and did they call part of the reef the "the devil's backbone"? 1990's? What is the rate of your double with 2 beds? Thanks, D.
Yes, still is the oldest family owned dive resort on island. Please call 800-854-4767 for best rates for the time you wish to arrive!
