This was the first time I took my partner to visit the north of Wales. Having previously stayed in another cottage in the village a few times, I fancied a change. The cottage was situated on a working farm and up some country lanes, which for us was like a hime from home. The cottage was warm and very clean...

Directions there were fantastic, we were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome by Gwion who offered to get our bags for us. He showed us to the stabal apartment, we walked into a lovely, warm, cosy, clean, modern but characteristic apartment with the gas fire already going. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and if I...

We stayed in studio cottage Ty-Gwair, compact but had everything you need. Very clean, lovely welcome basket and beautiful surroundings. Stayed there in May for 3 nights, typical Welsh weather meant it was raining most of the time, but the living flame fire kept us lovely and warm and dried our things. Beautiful scenery, especially when the sun comes out!...

Stayed in this beautiful place for 3 nights but wish it had been 3 weeks .... perfect in every way. The barn is very well equipped & everything is of a very high standard. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking & we loved waking up to the sound of chickens, ducks & sheep. Gwion & Louise & their family are the...

Well what can I say about this cottage! Very clean , well equipped, great loft bedroom. The owners had thought of every thing. Great welcome basket and info folder. My daughters loved Dell the collie, bringing us her stick to throw every day , the animals went down great too. Everyone was very friendly and the break was just what...

Me and my daughter stayed here in September. The farm is in the middle of nowhere and wifi is limited which made the trip more enjoyable. We were given great accommodation and a good hearty breakfast every morning. There is so much to do locally and every September there is a walking festival in Barmouth which was the reason for...

My daughter and I spent a week in this lovely part of Northern Wales, using Byrdir as our base. Whilst the village is accessible on foot, a car really is a necessity to explore the surrounding countryside. Wifi is available in the farmhouse lounge room, but not in Nant itself. (No 'phone signal either. ) Given that walking is an...

The farm is situated in the middle of nowhere in a very quiet and stunning landscape with wonderful views to the sea and also to the mountains. We stayed in one of their self-catering cottages. The cottage, a former barn, is in good conditions with a nice living room and two bed rooms – everything clean and nicely furnished. The...

Where to begin it is tucked away in a beautiful rural setting with lovely views. Inside was stunning too. Spotlessly clean and very comfy. The owners are really friendly and welcoming and you can tell they have pride in what they do. Breakfast is delicious too! Within walking distance of beach and village. It really is a perfect place to...

We travelled a long way from Hong Kong early this month for a 2-week trip around the UK. Picture this scenario in your mind - after a long and exhausting flight journey we picked up our car at Manchester airport. We drove from Manchester to Snowdonia and following saf nav we arrived at the top of a hill with an...

Our family runs a bed and breakfast on a working Welsh hill farm in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Snowdonia. We have two daughters, two cats, Oscar and Mog, two ducks, Will and Martha, and a dog called Del. Oh, and about 200 welsh mountain sheep and 40 or so welsh black cows. “Nant, part of a converted barn, was warm and cosy. Twin beds are in the downstairs bedroom. The double bed in the upstairs loft is accessible only by a set of steep steps. If you are very tall, you may find the loft a little uncomfortable. Great view from the window tho'!”

“You can choose between the self-catering cottages and the classical B&B rooms.”

“I've now stopped in all 5 bedrooms. They all are great. Ty Gwair doesn't have a sea view, but you can watch the ducks in the pond and experience the sunrise without getting out of bed!”
Grahamneville, 2 Oct 2013 | Read review
“If you are a couple, ask to stay in one of the rooms away from the farmhouse, where you climb a wooden stepladder and sleep on a platform. Ask them when you book, they will know what you mean!”

“If your not good with steep stairs or ladders try Beudy as you can have the beds dowstairs, but my other half has problems with stairs and didnt find going up and down the steps in Melin a problem at all.”
