We came here for a few days to go wine tasting and truffle hunting and it was lovely. The hotel was great, lovely rooms and the views are spectacular across the vineyards. The restaurant for fine dining was great, in the cellar of the hotel and the truffle menu was brilliant. They also had the best bar snacks ever in...

The property was even nicer than I imagined. Beautiful views everywhere. Friendly staff. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Food was delicious. The concierge staff were very helpful in setting up visits to local wineries and arranging transportation.

Perched on a high hill-top in the countryside of the Asti region, this hotel could not be better placed for an away-from-it-all break from work stresses. An extent of green as far as the eye can see is the view that greets you both from the ground and from every window inside the hotel itself. The rooms are large, comfortable...

It's worth coming to Relais San Maurizio for its extraordinary setting. The property itself is also amazing - an old monastery which has been impressively restored. Consistency within the property is unfortunately lacking. The style is incoherent, which tends to isolate each of the sections. A consequence of this is an absence of warm and ambient spaces. The main lounge...

The pictures, reviews, and even the website of Relais San Maurizio do not fully do it justice. This is a hotel with a lot of "wow" factors, from the location to the views to the historic features of this ancient monastery. Truly, this is one of the great hotels of Italy, that should be placed at the same lofty levels...

My now wife and I stayed at the resort along with our families in November and held our wedding in the beautiful chapel which is part of a stunning property. I have been here a few times for lunch and dinner at Guido (which is excellent) but it was my first time to stay at the hotel and properly use...

We loved the hotel, the restaurant and the spa. We spent three wonderful nights here while we were visiting the region's truffle festival. We had a wonderful dinner at Guido restaurant which is a gorgeous, brick-vaulted-ceiling, cozy room. And, we loved the spa, especially the salt cave. Take the time to spend an hour in the salt cave following the...

Dear Moomoo01 we thank you for your advise concerning the noise into the room. We can tell you that we are thinking about a sound-proofing in all the rooms even if is not so easy to realize because of the characteristics of our building , which is an ancient monastery old dated 1619. We thank you for your time that...

This is a beautiful property located in the Barbaresco area of La Langhe in an old monastery. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and the staff is helpful. When the weather was bad one evening, they were able to arrange a car to take us to a restaurant nearby we had reserved. It seems to have the feeling of a...

dear Mr Scott O, we are doing an important investment concerning the enlargment of all the spaces of the "Truffle Bistrot" and specifically talking about breakfast, which is the most important moment along the day for each guest during his stay. We are planning new and different solutions which will satisfy all the tastes of our exigent clientele. We thank...

The property and the garden is stunning. Rooms are different so depends what you book and get. Very much high tech in the rooms, too much when you just want to shower , not too choose 3 tipes of raining shower while cold water is spraying you. Service, more like in a BB than in 5 star, but willing and...

Dear Mrs. 645 Olimpi, thank you for having expressed your valuable opinion about your stay at our House. All the rooms in the Ancient Monastery are born from the old Monks' cell and the San luigi Villa, where your room was, are conceived in a modern style with hi-tec services. We decide to offer to our guests different solution to...

The hotel and Spa are beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Certainly the best place to stay in the area. You can skip the Ristorante Guido da Costigliole as there are many better places in the region and it's terribly overpriced (I did not deduct any ratings as it's not operated by the hotel)
