Arrived there at night and really from seeing the lobby alone l should not have opted to stay! The receptionist was in the bar so l had to wait for her return to check in , 2nd red flag. The elevator looked and worked like something straight out of Noah's Ark. I kept worrying that l would get stuck in...

I had a clean, comfortable room and terrace overlooking the park, La Savanne and a new bathroom with a tub. Great for a couple of nights in town in a semi-Deco, style hotel which has been kept up but still has old time atmosphere. Conveniently located to see the glorious library, ethnographic museum, open air market, church, etc. It is...

L'Imperatrice is ideally located, with a bar open to the street which makes the perfect rendezvous opposite the Savanne. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast adequate. The hotel makes a reasonable stab at the balance between faded glory and modern convenience, but like so much in Martinique it lacks depth and sophistication. It is expensive for what you get but is...

It's a good hotel, with an excellent location near the Savane. But that alone can't justify the prices they fix for the stays. The room is not big, but the bathroom is the worst. It is small, and missing any standard accessory like a phone, or the little cage carrying the soap into the shower. We also had to ask...

The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from airport. I arrived late so I didn't see any traffic between airport and hotel. Check-in was prompt. Check in staff was friendly and had room keys ready for myself and my crew. The hotel features a Resturant on the 1st floor. A bar area on the street level with seating on the sidewalk....

We had anticipated arriving in FDF on the Express des Isles ferry from Dominica which was scheduled to arrive around 5pm on a Saturday. We therefore decided to stay in town before heading to the southern beaches ( though Express des Isles changed their schedule just before we travelled and never told us. Our 1530 departure became 1130 and we...

It's quite expensive but it is the best accommodation if you need to spend one night in Fort de France, especially to reach the airport. At the ground floor there is a good bar with tables outdoor and popular with local artistic milieu

This hotel is likely the best in central Fort-de-France. It is an exceptional well maintained hotel with a combo Art Deco exterior and an Asian influenced interior. Based on a recent experience at a historic hotel in San Juan PR, L'Imperatrice was absolute heaven. I stayed in Room#25. The room was spotless, and by that I mean that one can...
