When we checked into the hotel we were told that there’s a $17 resort fee, which is strange since this is definitely not a resort. She also said that Marriott was required to charge this but we could use the $17 to purchase items in the Market in the lobby. Those items were $4 bottles of water and snacks at $3 a bag. When I asked if they could just deduct the charge, since we weren’t interested in buying these things, she said no. What she didn’t tell us, and we learned the next day, is that you can’t use his on the day of checkout, so be sure to use it before then. As for the room, while it was small it was manageable. Small bathroom, with a very low toilet. There is a hair dryer, but no other amenities. The room is sorely in need of a paint job. There’s a nice size supermercado a few blocks away, which is fully stocked.

Had just a one night stay at this property, it was pretty average overall. Guest room was quite small and very poorly lit, with a small single pain window only. Bonvoy Titanium member, but the only available amenity is the $10 market credit, which you can’t use towards breakfast as I was told that the restaurant in the hotel is independent of the hotel. $20 parking fee. We had a lot of luggage due to international travel, and the next day of check out I phoned down to ask for some help with it, but was told there is no one to help guests with luggage. Got downstairs to check out to see two beefy looking male employees standing around behind the desk doing very little as it was very quiet and not at all busy. They could have offered to help and I told them so, and that it was disappointing customer service, but was given the excuse that “there was only two of them at the desk”. This would have taken 5 minutes of one of their time to help, but clearly too lazy. I won’t be choosing this property in the future, too many choices in the area.

We used a free night certificate for this hotel which was good since the rate was inflated due to a special event. The hotel is located in a residential and commercial area of San Juan away from the beach. The room was small and somewhat dated with chipped furniture and a 32-inch plasma TV that was over ten years old. I often wonder why hotels don’t update their TVs since small 4K LEDs are so cheap. It was fairly quiet even though it was pretty full. There is no free breakfast and a $20 charge for valet parking. To get to the restaurants and shops turn right when you exit the hotel driveway.

Stayed at this location because it had a room available at time of booking. Will not be staying here again. The Front Desk was acceptable and the location was OK. There was no breakfast provided as part of the reservation and no hotel-shuttle to any beaches or area attractions. The hotel was very dated. The one elevator to service the hotel guests was insufficient to handle the number of guest. The day of check-out, the elevator could only handle a few guests and "bounced" at floor destination and, at time, was not level with the floor. Many guests had to walk down the stairway with their luggage to the lobby where some guests were walking up to their rooms and some down to the lobby with their luggage.

This hotel is not Marriott Bonvoy quality. It is a simple hotel with reduced rooms that abuses its customers by charging them a fee of 17 usd per day that are exchanged for a credit that applies to 5 usd water bottles. We got bitten by bugs in this hotel. Take your precautions.

A major stuff up by Jet Blue resulted in them having to put us up for the night. As there was t much available (must be all the Jet Blue flights cancelled) we were given a voucher for the Marriott. It was after midnight and we were exhausted. The staff were brilliant. At last, customer service. We checked into a room with a large king bed, tv, mini fridge and very spacious. There is something about these large king beds that I love. Maybe because you feel like you’re sleeping on your own but your partner is only an arm length away. Room was quiet and well away from the elevator. Pool looked inviting but we’d checked out by then. Great business centre with computers etc. Checkout was quick and efficient. Even the valets out the front organised the taxi (as we had vouchers from Jet Blue). Apologies for the room photos as exhaustion had taken over.

The Courtyard Marriott Miramar Beach Resort in San Juan, PR, is a fantastic getaway with everything you need for a perfect stay. The private beach is stunning, offering a peaceful retreat with breathtaking ocean views. The bar and restaurant serve great food and drinks, while the casino adds a touch of excitement to the experience. With a prime location close to San Juan’s attractions, this hotel is an excellent choice for both relaxation and adventure!

Tired, old hotel. Not what you expect from Marriott. One small slow elevator for large hotel. Pool area depressing. There are many other better hotels near the airport to stay. Not good value for your money. The walls are thin, you can hear the elevator regardless of your room location and other guests using the toilets.

The manager Antonio Santos will not work with you if you have an issue which is very disappointing. Very poor customer service.
They charge you an $18 service fee and then sell overpriced things at the front desk that you can purchase with your “credit”.
I recommend staying elsewhere.

I have never stayed in a Courtyard Miramar hotel but the pictures online shows beautiful rooms and the space looks huge. I was recommended by Expedia that this was one of the best hotel in this particular area. How truly wrong they are and the false depiction of this hotel. I was paying $220 per night which is not a cheap price and as soon as I walked in I was shocked to the bone. The room is so small and dingy that I wanted to immediately walk out. The bathroom, in my opinion, and for the price they charge, should be luxurious with plenty of counter space. There was non and it looks like I had walked in to a cheap motel. The bathtub is stained, the toilet seat wouldn't stay opened because the back of the toilet is under the counter and this would block the top from staying opened. It would also stay opened because it was cheap and plastic. The TV was antiquated and at first didn't have any channels. When I needed towels or anything else I had to beg the staff at the front desk for them to bring me anything. There is no complimentary breakfast for anything for free. They charged $20 day for valet parking. The air conditioner was regulated and it would run for five minutes and wouldn't turn on for another hour. I was hot and miserable! The only lamp in the room was always tilting to the side. I don't know who is supposed to check on the staff and how they're running things but someone from corporate should do a surprise visit. I want my $1200 back that I paid for 4 days!!

You are in a business/residential area and the closest beach is in Condado which is walkable about 15. Minutes. You can drive to beaches in Condado but the parking becomes the rate limiting step. Remember all beaches are public. The hotel has a very small pool with adequate seating but it is almost an afterthought when they built the place. The good news is you can get food and drinks next store and charge it to your room
There are more places to choose from in the San Juan area.
