This was a clean Basic hotel with good service from the small personnel. However, do not expect much. The room was big and the view was good, but services were very Basic. No bar (closed) and no pool.

The Puerto Rico Tourism Board presented Hotel Miramar the 2012 Award for Best Small Hotel for good reason, it’s a spectacular 3-Star rated hotel that deserves another. This 8-story (50-room) hotel is older but was totally gutted and rebuilt for larger rooms, with mini-fridge and microwave in each. There’s a small fitness center, free WiFi, two computers, a rooftop terrace,...

We stayed here the first night of our vacation because we were flying to Culebra out of Isla Grande airport at 7:30 the following morning. We had issues with our room key opening our door for the 1st hour, but it eventually was resolved. Apparently there was an issue with the machine used to activate the card. The cafe was...

Stayed here last week.Sad that the cafe was closed, but otherwise,it's a nice hotel, and priced right. It has a great roof top deck, and is within walking distance to a couple of palces to eat.The cruise ship docks are about a mile away, and Old San Juan is about 5 miles away. Staff was friendly, and yes, maid service is a...

Older hotel, but well maintained. Pros: close to restaurants and grocery store, close to Viejo San Juan, and good size rooms with a small fridge. The view from the terrace is pretty awesome. Front desk employees are OK, they barely acknowledge you when you come in, but they are not rude, just a bit indifferent so it's not so bad....

Lovely, older hotel in an older part of San Juan, close to Old SJ. The room was very spacious (2 beds, a couch, table and chairs, TV in a wardrobe, microwave and refrigerator — you could LIVE in here!) and clean, free wifi, very helpful staff. We were on the front but didn't notice much noise (also on a Sunday...

We chose this hotel for staying two nights before our cruise, searching for a better price and a decent hotel. We were surprised by the unreasonable high prices in San Juan hotels in the winter months. we finally selected Hotel Miramar with good reviews in a less than $200/night range. We were not dissapointed: the rooms are spacious, clean, and...

Needed a place to stay one night before a cruise. this was fine. Clean. OK location. Helpful staff. Phone was "missing." Bathroom sink handle broken. But otherwise ok. Very comfy bed and plentiful, fluffy pillows. In a strange area, but we found a great little bistro called Lima down the road on Ponce de Leon. It worked out to be...

Our room was large and very clean, a welcome experience after having been trapped in a tiny cruise ship cabin for 7 nights. Room 601 looked out across the lagoon, which was very scenic but a bit noisy since it also faced the main street, Ponce de Leon. We were there on a Sunday night and it was fairly noisy...

Not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from Hotel Miramar and I'm not even there yet. Called today to confirm a reservation for 2/14 and was told to call back tomorrow because they're overbooked and I might not have a room. I reserved a room over 2 months ago and I have a confirmation number. I asked to speak with the...
