Rooftop terrace was an added bonus. We didn't know about it until we read a review about it. Should definitely promote this more! The pool area was nice and can see the ocean from there. Overall was a nice stay and would stay there again !
The mattress was rock hard with no give at all. The room they put us into didn't have wifi unless you stood right next to the door. Shower didn't drain quickly. When I closed the blackout curtains they smelled moldy.
Not sure what is meant by free breakfast because I was in and out between 6 and 10 am and didn't even see a bakery spread. Was not mentioned to me at check in either, although the ladies who helped me at the front desk were always nice.
Exercise room was broken. The rooftop was pretty cool but it was really just a bunch of chairs and a BYOB situation.
The only thing about these reviews that I fundamentally disagree with is the parking. I didn't think the immediate neighborhood felt unsafe and we found free street parking within 1 block of the hotel easily. The women at the front desk even helped show us where we should look for free parking which was very nice considering the hotel owns their own lot for $15 a night.
I also liked the neighborhood and it had a lot of bars and restaurants that we liked. I think maybe this neighborhood is ""up and coming"" so reviews from even a couple years ago may not have trustworthy feedback on the environs.
I don’t recommend it, especially if you plan to get there at night and are a woman traveling alone:
1. Their parking is not available until you check in, but you can’t find parking anywhere in the neighborhood (which is not a safe area). The cost is $15.00 and it’s two streets across from the hotel and the receptionist has to open the gate from where she, is while looking through the window. I had to call twice (when I got there and left) to ask them to open the gate so I could get out. The parking area is big, feels unsafe, and has no light at night; I had to use my phone’s flashlight. Also, the numbers are not in chronological order, but you must park in the number assigned by the receptionist. In my case, although the lot wasn’t full, she gave me the last number at the far end, but didn’t tell me. It was incredibly frustrating!!!
2. You are charged a $100.00 deposit, which according to the receptionist, I quote her: it is for in case you damage the room. Getting reimbursed can take 5 to 7 days.
3. The mattress was extremely hard.
4. There is a lot of street noise.
I will definitely never stay there again.

Disliked · As we entered the room we liked the room and couldn't complain. On the next day we started to realise that the carpet floor was copletely wet, as a reason all of our personal belongings and bed sheets were extremely humid. We asked the reception to solve it, they came and sproaded some powder on the floor, which didn't help. We think it has to do with condensation, as the rooms are being cooled constantly and the weather outside is warm. No teapot in the room, but a champangere yes. Dirty windows. The closet is in the bathroom, so you can just imagine what your clothes are getting if someone takes a shower etc. We had a view on the senior residence and directly to the neighbor window in that one grandmother laid on the verge, pretty hard and painful. You couldn't open the windows for an air circulation, which was needed because of the wet floor etc. Sometimes we had no hot water in the shower, sure after ca. 10 pm. Stupid sockets in the room and the bathroom. Slow wi-fi. The 100$ deposit was returned after a week.

The rooftop experience is the absolute best scenery to relax, take pics and unwind. When we finally were able to go up there, we never wanted to come down. It's simply breathtaking up there.
The location was so ideal to great restaurants and the grocery store within walking distance. The only thing I would have preferred is that the hotel didn't have a one way street because when you first come to the hotel to check in, you're not aware and you park beside the hotel in the alley way. After check-in, you realize that you need to back up (if no cars are coming) all the way to the open parking lot.
I suggest that plumbing be looked into as my tub filled up with water as I showered. The only way for it not to happen, I had to wet myself and lather my washcloth then turn the shower off, bathe, then turn it back on to rinse off in order for the tub not to fill up.
The color scheme of the rooms is so calming and bright. Loved the space of the bathroom and the room itself. It made me want to stay in the room all day.
All of the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. I would prefer that all housekeepers be bilingual as everyone does not speak spanish and it make it hard to relay information.
