Excelent Service dont think about it Twice. The staff very Atent and wunder full break fest. If you want a luxury stay this is the hotel. Very nice experience and it is near everithing in San Juan. The parking is very Small but the experience you will enjoy it. Make sure to turn on all the outlets in the room becouse it is a manual sistem swicht and then you will have everithing to enjoy it.

Request Genesis for your cleaning lady she's amazing! She spoiled us! We got the presidential suite it was just like home the kids got their own bedrooms their own TVs. No you don't need all of the high-end stuff in the presidential suite but it makes it so nice to come home to after a long day on the beach or excursions. Also I don't think they put this in the description of the presidential suite but there is a rainfall shower head in the master bathroom that was amazing! Don't worry about ever hearing noises in this hotel we never heard a peep from anyone the walls are pretty thick so are the ceilings LOL. The price of the presidential suite so that you are treated like kings and queens was definitely reasonable not overpriced at all will definitely stay here again! The rooftop pool is definitely a sight to see at night. We didn't go to the restaurant upstairs ( eter) because there was a dress code of no flip flops I did have nice dresses but didn't pack any heels for the requirement.

Front desk staff very friendly and explains everything very well regarding the restaurant, the Rooftop, which is spectacular. The room is small but with everything you need to spend a night without problems as a couple. Parking in the same building at no cost. The hotel food is good, I think expensive. Breakfast is a la carte and a room service, it is good, but since the room is small it is very difficult to eat. They are punctual at breakfast and the room service guy is excellent. They should improve the bathroom shower, it has no pressure and is difficult to keep in the middle to be able to bathe; Another thing that I think they should improve is the identification of the associates, they cannot be easily identified or the "name tag" cannot be seen immediately. I recommend the hotel and I think I am a new customer.

Absolutely not a 4 star hotel whatsoever. Def a 3 star and that’s being generous. We called about an early check in which wasn’t possible—which was fine because we ended up enjoying ourselves elsewhere for an extra few hours, but when we arrived AN HOUR + after check in, the room still wasn’t ready and we had to wait an extra 30 min. We got to the room and it wasn’t even cleaned properly. The floor felt dusty or like there was trails of sand, the laundry room had sand still in the sink and on top of that the air conditioning in the living room barely worked so it was hot as balls in the common area. We asked for extra towels and that took 30+ min the first time, the second time it never even came. Their complimentary breakfast ( with added fees for some things) was served in containers that made me feel like I was in a nursing home, and the food was worse than hospital food. On checkout day, our breakfast came extremely late and cold, and on top of that they were calling the room to rush us out saying we’d be charged extra for a late checkout….not sure where that hustle was when we were checking in but OKAY. Good luck reaching them on the phone—I had to call 5+ times anytime I needed something…might as well figure it out yourself. Oh, and one of the bathrooms smelled like bad sewage all day so we kept that door closed the entire time, and if you need to iron your clothes—good luck because there was just an ironing board .

Ciqala is not luxurious. My stay was a nightmare. My room was on the 8th floor below the restaurant and the pool I was able to hear foot steps back and forth most of my the night. To top it off my room was flooded with pool water and they had to move me to a lesser rated room. The free breakfast was awful I was charged $3.00 because they said I ordered one extra yogurt which was a lie I did not eat the yogurt because it was a few spoons of yogurt in a small bowl not in original container, the banana was 3 cut pieces, the egg tasted like dirt. When I complained about the charge for the yogurt they removed it from my credit card. However, the manager gave me a credit of $100.53 for the flood in my room. Nothing luxurious about this hotel it’s overpriced and over rated with poor customer service. 2 good things 1)they put my luggage in storage while I was traveling2) the manager was very nice

The location is absolutely wonderful, very quiet, and only blocks away from restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. The luxury kitchen is nice but unfortunately, there is nothing to use for cooking. It was only stocked with plates, cups and utensils, and a nice blender but no cookware. There was left articles from the previous guest and overall not clean despite daily housekeeping things were not restocked or wiped down. The air conditioning didn’t work in the main living area but the individual rooms were nice and cool. We did call in our AC issue and it was fixed on the third night. The beach is wonderful, but make sure that you’re clear on drop off and pick up because it can be confusing. The WiFi is nearly unusable even for basic email. Lastly, don’t have a great expectations about the pool. It is very small and uncomfortable with the restaurant guests being right there but the view on the restaurant is nice to have an a wonderful amenity.

Rooms are small but more space would feel unnecessary. We had everything we needed. WiFi signal was a little patchy when watching TV but not bad. Small hairs found on the shower curtain and shower walls but other than that, the entire room seemed very clean. Breakfast menu had great options. Delivered to room. (Didn't get to eat it because we had to leave for flight very early) Rooftop restaurant has a nice view of the city. Very small pool in the middle of the restaurant (awkward placement). Very expensive food and drinks but the brioche bread pudding dessert item was DELICIOUS! 20 min or less walk to small beaches or quick Uber to Old San Juan (el morro, etc). Paola at the front desk was very friendly and helpful ❤️ would stay here again.

This was my first time in Puerto Rico and Ciqala was at first glance a great place to stay, but it wasn’t rly at the end. First, the breakfast is extremely weird for 4 star hotel: they bring breakfast into your room every morning and the options are limited. Omelets and other egg meals are very oily, the pancakes are dry and once the staff forgot to put berries that I ordered before. I also was confused for why they bring plastic cutlery every morning when there is a kitchen with cutlet in the room… seems like a waste creation for an island. In terms of dinner , however, there is a great restaurant on the roof that is very popular among locals- so definitely book beforehand! The food is great, but we had to wait for 30 min to seat us despite our reservation….
In terms of the room , the air conditioning kept dripping on us and the bathtub is terrible! There is glue/foam and scratches all over it (attaching pics). The pillows are extremely hard and impossible to sleep on.
It was a priority to me to have a Pool while being on vacation and what we got was a tiny jacuzzi size thing on the roof that was never used because it is right near the bar and is a part of the restaurant on the roof. Would be weird swimming near a bunch of strangers in the evening… so I don’t even know how that was called a pool.
In terms of a location, it is quiet and near a couple of restaurants which was nice. The beach is still a great walk and for pretty much anything else you HAVE TO have a car. So be ready to rent one if you are coming to San Juan. There are definitely better located places to stay at.

We stayed overnight pre-cruise and while the property has an amazing rooftop there is not much space elsewhere to enjoy. July is extraordinarily hot in Puerto Rico so baking on a rooftop is not a comfortable option. We do enjoy a nice lobby where one can enjoy the ambience and visit rather than being restricted to a guestroom. Ciqala does not have any lobby space. In addition, they charge a resort fee but not sure what amenities are included in this fee. Last, we had breakfast included in the rate, but this was also laughable. It really is a bare bones room service that will cost you extra if you order anything besides two eggs, one slice of toast, lukewarm coffee and a watered-down orange juice. The one silver lining was the front desk staff who were very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, this is not enough for a return stay so we will choose elsewhere for our next San Juan visit.

The menu and the scenery is what holds this restaurant’s potential. Unfortunately what keeps this place from being a 5 star restaurant and one might even say worth it is the chef’s and bartenders or management… service was slow, inaccurate, and fruitless. One can argue it was due to a busy night, however when a steak is sent back for not being cooked at the correct cooking temperature it should come back nothing less than perfect in or course temperature. Not only was it still medium rare (even rare), but some of the garnishes were gone which is just odd. I felt as if though the garnishes as removed considering the main problem was nothing less than dismissed. I personally didn’t even want to take it home it was inedible to me. When one goes to a restaurant of this caliber (for the alternatives) one expects nothing less of that. The cocktails tasted like juice, little to no alcohol. Our waitress was very pleasant and u think that was one of the only reasons I enjoyed the experience along with the obvious (the view). I felt for my waitress.. she had too many tables which is why I didn’t think it was on her but she has little to no time to cater to us. The ambience and a amazing food options are great but it just not all the way there. As a tourist I hope that when I do come back the food is not what I experienced. It’s disappointing because it had so much potential, truly. A nice touch would be heaters I noticed many (including myself) asking or getting towels which is probably a lot to wash at the end of the night.

I don't know if there's a shuttle to Old San Juan, but there is a shuttle to the beach and it's free. It leaves around 10 am and returns around 3 pm. Those times could change, so ask the front desk for the exact times for the day you want to go. If you want a cheap way to get to Old San Juan, I would use Uber. We had a car and we still used it a lot for quick trips to eat and things like that.
Beach shuttles are free...about 3 blocks away and they also have bicycles that you can use for free.. I had a rental so it was pretty easy getting around
