Nestled in the heart of Old San Juan, the CasaBlanca Hotel captivates visitors with its prime location, just a stone's throw from local attractions and vibrant nightlife. Guests frequently commend the rooftop amenities for their tranquility, although the cozy quarters sometimes draw criticism for their limited space. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness is consistently acknowledged, with rooms maintained spotlessly.
Opinions on service vary, with some guests lauding the staff's helpfulness, while others encounter less attentive service. The atmosphere's authentic Moroccan flair enchants many, despite the occasional outdated feel of the rooms.

We had a wonderful stay in what is now one of my favorite cities in the world. Check in was a bit of an ordeal on our part, but the staff handled it wonderfully. My mother is our go to planner for all of our vacations, and she made an honest mistake and booked our dates for one month later. We realised this literally AT check in and I internally panicked thinking we were going to have to somehow find a hotel at 9pm after a long day of travel. Luckily, the woman checking us in was able to rebook us for the same type of room we needed (1 king and 2 twins)! It cost us about 100$ more than we originally booked for, but she was upfront about this and gave us other options if we wanted. But we decided the extra money was worth it and took the room. We were so relieved, and I personally ended up loving the room! There were a few small issues, but nothing too bad. The walls and doors are a little thin since the building is old, so at times it can be loud in the hallway as people pass by. We were all able to sleep well despite this. We couldn't figure out how to get the TV to turn on, but this didn't really matter to us since we didn't come to watch TV and spent most of the day outside. There is not a lot of storage space, but we were only there for 2 nights and we could have made it work if needed. Not sure if you would count this as a con, my mom and I found it fun! In our room there was a frosted window that we found out opened up to the hallway on our last day! Unique for sure. There were a lot of things I loved about this hotel! It is tastefully decorated from the lobby to the rooms. It was a very cozy atmosphere. Whoever made music choices in the lobby has good taste. They offer a cafe in the mornings with fun food selections (I got the fried avocado roll!) The rooftop space was one of the highlights for me, it was beautiful and completely empty when we went up at night. If offered amazing views of the city. Speaking of views, our balcony was wonderful! Our room in particular had a great view, although it was a tad cramped. The location of the hotel itself was perfect for all the attractions we wanted to see, everything was within a comfortable walking distance. I was led to beleive that the bathroom would be a bit of a squeeze, but I thought it wasn't a bad size at all! Not a lot of counter space but there is shelving above the toilet you can use. Plenty of room to not feel cramped. Lastly, the air conditioning worked great! Overall a perfect place to rest after exploring Old San Juan.

We stayed here for 2 nights, one in a room with 2 double beds (we added on a night last minute and it was all they had) and one in a suite. Although the room with the 2 doubles was pretty average, the suite was lovely and overall, the hotel was great. It's in an amazing location right on the main street of Old San Juan, walking distance to everything in the area. The staff was super nice although they were definitely understaffed so for anyone in a hurry, that might have been a bit of an issue. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and we were lucky that at least for our rooms, we didn't have much, if any, street noise. They stored our luggage on arrival and checkout, and were very accommodating about letting us get access to it during the day as needed. The breakfast there was very good, service a bit slow, but staffing issues are prevalent everywhere. Hotels in San Juan, and especially OSJ, seem to be very expensive, so overall, I'd say this is a good value for what you get. I would definitely stay here again.

COMPLETELY CHARMING funky old perfect hotel in downtown Old Town San Miguel. By far the best café in the neighborhood. Staff who treat you like family. And a perfect location.
We stayed at this hotel in January, for a couple of wonderful nights -- and we won't stay anywhere else on the island. Fun and efficient check-in, cool old elevator (with panoramic glass) and excellent restored antique rooms.
We had a little balcony and watched the raving throngs up and down the cobbled streets for the festival of San Sebastian. Waves of happy humans and fun music and delicious food treats and visual treats in every direction.
If you prefer an ultra-modern sleek and spare room with the same kind of furniture and wall art, this is not the place for you. If you want a room that makes you feel like you're staying at your grandma's house, this is it. If you like crafted old antique treasures, the hotel's full of them. Also DO NOT MISS the breakfast in the hotel's lobby café -- the fresh juice glasses are delicious and the staff are too.

We stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! Great location with plenty of fantastic restaurants and nightlife. Relatively close to the airport and not much traffic to return the rental car. As far as the hotel, Chase travel details listed a later checkout time than was accurate and the front desk staff was helpful and kind. The Housekeeping staff was very friendly and the rooms utilize the space extremely well. highly recommend staying here If you are in Old San Juan!

What it is NOT is the romantic old charming hotel promised in the descriptions, pictures or the movie for which is it named.
It is old, dirty and dilapidated.
We booked one night $195.26 pre-paid. We arrived after 11:00 PM after a full day of travel and we were very tired. The room had no windows. It was very very small. The vent was leaking a steady stream of water into the bathroom and they placed a towel on the toilet to catch some of the water from the leak. The bathroom was not usable. The bed was old the floors were dirty. The air condition was set on the coldest possible setting making the room cold, wet dark and uncomfortable. They told us there was no other rooms available to move us to but they would "talk to management about the situation". Needless to say nothing more was done about it.
The room wasn't in good order but what about the charming "rooftop amenities"? That too was nothing like described. The pictures on the web-site must be very old. This hotel cannot be recommended. It is in need to a complete revamp, lots of repairs and should not be open to the public in its current state.

I booked 2 nights at this hotel for January 2023 in June of 2022. My wife and I were excited to spend a couple days in Old San Juan before boarding a cruise. The hotel looks fantastic and in October we found out the biggest annual festival would be happening while we were staying at the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel decided to not honor the reservation I booked in June and informed me that there was a “system malfunction” and our room was no longer available. I’m sure this hotel is excellent but I would not recommend anyone book with a hotel that treats guests in this manner

I really liked this hotel. It is in a great location to be near some sights and many restaurants. The staff could have been a little friendlier but they were alright. The only real issue is our room safe did not work and they spent 3 hours in and out of our room when we were tired after a long day and flight. They resolved it 3 hours later after listening to my original suggestion in just getting me another safe. They have coffee in the lobby if you would like some in the morning. They will hold your suitcases before or after checkout which allows you to do other things. The room we had was very spacious although the bathroom could have been better with more room and a place to put your toiletries etc.. I would definitely use them again on my next visit.

We had a really lovely 2-night stay the the CasaBlanca hotel before we hopped on our cruise. We booked directly through their website and added on the option of champagne and rose petals in the room. It was really pretty. Our room on the 3rd floor was super cute and very spacious, although I wish the bathroom had more storage/shelving. I especially liked the decor. We used one of the stone tubs on the rooftop and, even though it took forever to fill with warm water, once it got full it was very relaxing. This hotel has the perfect location in Old Town. Everything you could wish for is within walking distance, even the cruise port. My only 2 complaints would be that breakfast in the Mimosa Cafe on site took FOREVER, but the food was yummy. And on port days, they have a luggage storage service for cruise passengers, and it crowded up the lobby with literally a hundred people dropping off their luggage while they explored old town after getting off their cruise. Priority was given to them at the front desk and restaurant instead of paying hotel guests.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Old San Juan! It’s a beautifully decorated hotel with incredible old world charm. There’s always fresh filtered water for guests, incredible air conditioning, and Luna is an absolute gem behind the check-in counter! There are TWO amazing roof top decks with hot tubs and incredible views! The noise from the elevator and noise from other guests is the most notable negative attribute of this hotel. Also, being a historic building there are many small quirks that I can appreciate as someone who loves the charm of places like Venice or New Orleans, but if you’re accustomed to pristine, 5 star hotels, this might not be the right choice for you.

I booked this hotel as it was 2 days before my trip and not many places to stay overnight were left. Check-in process was good, we got to the room and I was shocked that there were no windows. I went downstairs and asked if there is a room with windows he said no, 85% of the hotel has rooms with no windows. I was like oh well, ok I have to make this work as there was nowhere to go. Also no hair dryer in the room, you have to go downstairs if you need it. Also advertised hot tubs were not working, there was no hot water at all and the pressure was extremely low. The jacuzzi was working but the water was rather on the colder side, we tried to change the temperature but it wasn't possible. I told the front desk about those issues she just oh, ok, we will look into it, so don't be fooled by those pictures it doesn't look like it at all. The bed- wasn't comfortable at all, soggy. Very loud AC, room needs a lot of updating. 2 stars for location. By the way, parking nearby will cost you about $60 for 20 hours that's what we paid. Overall, I would not book this hotel ever again.
