I wanted to start be saying what a great staff this place has people are very friendly helpful and always smiling. BUT. The resort is in very poor shape, everything looks old and dingy. Everything needs a paint job. There is a very foul smell...More

I won't go into great detail, you can read my previous reviews because everything said in them still held true this year. FDR is paradise. The staff are incredible and very genuinely nice. The resort is...More

The room was nice. Not fancy but much bigger than I expected. We had a one bedroom suite that was actually two bedrooms, each with a king size bed and a bathroom, connected with a hallway that had a fridge, stove, microwave, and kitchen sink....More
We have been to this resort two years in a row and my kids now consider it a home away from home. My six year old renamed it "Family Home". The staff are excellent, great with the kids.

We mostly hang out, I would email and ask the Ent. Coordinator for adults to give you the general schedule. Not sure on who is doing their tours, again we chill or walk the beach next door at the Jewel. Drinks, you can buy and bring what you want but it is all inclusive, so we just go to the bar. They only stock beer and soft drinks, milk, etc . . . The local supermarket has a good booze and wine selection, and good prices on coffee.

8 yr old no issue - will have a blast. We are here now. 5th year, not 4th, my mistake. We know half the place. Second Nanny not needed for 13 yr old. They have teen activities and generally tailor to you needs, but also depend on how many kids his age are here. I believe they go off site. There are only 77 suites here and on 3 acres, so place is intimate, but you generally can make of it what you want. There is a reason we know half the place. We all come back.
