The room ($50) was very basic: clean bed, fan (no AC), own bathroom, hutch. My room was downstairs, which I think made is warmer, but much quieter. There was no noise from other guests while I was there. Ms. Jones was very hospitable and sweet. Request breakfast ($5 US), she makes a great ackee and saltfish with yams or breadfruit....

How lucky we were to choose this guesthouse. If you stay on the top floor with its long balcony you will be treated to a magnificent view of the Bay of Port Antonio, one of the most beautiful in Jamaica. The lovely, warm sea breeze ensured that we had no mosquito problems whatsoever, and due to the comfortable temperature we...

I love Ms. Lydia. She was so welcoming when we arrived and tried to make sure that we were comfortable. She also is a very good cook. Her son was also kind and picked me up at the airport. The room was relatively simple and the mattress was too soft for my partner. I requested another pillow too, as they...

A nice B&B; simple rooms but nothing is lacking (except A/C); very hospital; breakfast has been magic. Miss Lydia is the most friendly person I met in Jamaica. She travelled 4 hours with a courier (and 4 to come back) just to be sure that the luggage I forgot there was given directly in my hands. I am very grateful...

Ocean Crest is located on Titchfield Hill in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. We love this side of the island, and the three of us were satisfied with the basic accomodations this little guesthouse has to offer. We spent 3 nights here and while our room did not have A/C, we did have a fan to help keep us cool. The...

I don't know what the first comment was refering to but Ms. Lydia at Ocean Crest made my vacation one of the most memorable. The business is family owned and they truly went the extra mile to make sure we were well accomodated. Ms. Lydia's grandaughter was so kind to even walk with us down town and show us the...

I recently stayed at Ms Lydia's guesthouse with my young daughter, my sister and her twin girls, and all I can say is, "if you are looking for a family-friendly, fully equipped, spacious, clean and welcoming guest house that is reasonably priced, you should NOT go to this guesthouse!” The place was a disgrace! It didn't even have the basic...

My husband and I traveled to Port Antonio. It was a very long day of travel but once we got to Ocean Crest Miss Lydia Jones made us feel like we were part of her family. She served to us every morning a breakfast that was fit for royality. She can cook!!!!! The Inn was extremely clean inside and out....

We stayed here after 2 nights in the Jamaica Palace Hotel. Although I can't fault the JPH (see review) I wished we came to Ms Lydia's Ocean Crest Guesthouse sooner. (or shall I say soon come!) The 3 nights we stayed here was how I hoped our trip to Port Antonio would be like. We stayed in the newer top...
