I just had to write a note about Chippewa Village in Negril. I have stayed there twice. Both times, John (the owner) was incredibly welcoming to my friend and I. Courteous and full of great advice about the best places to eat, chill, and sunbathe in Negril, John far exceeds the usual customer service provider. Let me demonstrate: my hotel...

Great quiet and cozy place close to the beach but without all the hussle going on down at the beach. We were there at low season, so we were almost alone there, but I could just imagine how social it could be during high season. The hospitality was perfect! The manager took care of us and baked us some strong...

Let me start by saying, Chippewa is not for the posh-spa seeking traveler. This is a very simple, private, quiet, no frills place to stay. For us, it was great. We woke up to the Great Morass sunrises, and watched the sunsets on the beach. I felt like I was in two worlds. There was the hussle and bussle of...

First off, I'm embarrassed that I didn't write a review immediately upon returning to the States... Simply ungrateful! Like my title implies, I would absolutely hate for this place to be flooded with the Snobbish and Self-Important. These types would do their best to take advantage of one of the nicest, most helpful, and coolest hotel owners I've ever met....

I absolutely loved it here. It was so beautiful and serene. We were right across the road from the beach but didn't have to deal with all the spring breakers that you find yourself surrounded by at the bigger hotels. The owner, John, was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. He offered to let us use...

I can't say enough good things about this spot. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us all sorts of extras to help us in our stay and even made us a cake! Anyways, if you are going to Negril, make sure to check out this place and take a look at one of the suites. Its cheap,...

I don't understand how anyone could rave about this place. Contrary to what they advertise - breakfast is not included, there are no spa facilities, can't see the bottom of the pool it's so dirty - the place is rundown. It's for sale so I think the owner is just biding his time till it sells. Beware of the vicious...

This is the second time I have stayed at Chippewa Village, which should initially show how much I loved it. It is not like any other resort you will find in Negril. Although it is directly across from the famous seven mile beach, and walking distance from all of the major tourist attractions, you will not find another place as...

Just returned from a fantastic holiday made even the more memorable by our stay at Chippewa. John, the owner, is the most hospitable and generous host I have ever met. We arrived late at night, tired and hungry, having missed all the restaurants, and John stayed up to make us crepes and feed us his amazing homemade chocolate cake, yum!...

“-Wifi is very strong and reliable outside of John's office, and it even reached sometimes to the cottage. The rooms are not intended to have wifi access, but I ended up having connection whenever I needed it. -The cottage has no stove, but the food in Jamaica is so damn good... you should definitely be eating at all of the local restaurants! The prices are generally very reasonable. -Rocky, the black lab, takes a minute to warm up to some people. Have treats in your hand, and he will be like butter in your hand! Princess is a sweetheart to everyone, but appreciates treats as well as belly rubs.”
