Day 1 (Monday) •Loud club music across the street •Charged an extra day w/ no refund, forced to a “meal plan” •Our bungalow was on the 2nd floor, where it gets very hot. Also no screens on the windows and a broken screen in the bathroom. There is also very poor lighting in the bedroom, and in the bathroom it’s...

Reviewer: Happy girl from Littleton, Colorado. 2 weeks of incredible relaxation. Whistling Bird has the best staff ever. Friendly, helpful, and there to make my trip safe and pleasurable. I would highly recommend a stay here. The landscaping is a beautiful experience in itself.

Have been staying at Wb for about 8 years now.The owners and staff are just wonderful. It is not a big fancy hotel. The rooms are comfortable, original Jamaican style. The food is fantastic and the beach is just about the best. This property is not for everyone......if you need to be entertained go elsewhere although the bar can be quite entertaining...

A good friend and I stayed at the Whistling Bird November 12th-20th,2005. We went to Jamaica to attend my brother's wedding. My brother and my mom and the other guests stayed at an all inclusive resort 10 mins away. I just have to say Frank and I very much enjoyed staying in our little paradise. The staff was incredible, they made us feel...

short but sweet! We like smaller places as a rule. I love to walk on the beach to find a great place to dine. Despite the time of year, the beach is not crowded and reserved for guests. Rooms were charming. The bar is a great place to meet people. Great woodcarver nearby. For those who have not seen my...

As one of the other reviewers mentioned, there was a fair amount music coming from the resort next door... which in my opinion was the only MINOR downside of staying at Whistling Bird. I felt like part of the family when staying at Whistling Bird. Everyone is friendly, interesting to talk to, and absolutely dedicated your overall enjoyment of Jamaica....

When we arrived, we were hoping to eat a nice meal after our long flight. The chef was not there that day, therefore, no food in our all inclusive package on Day One. We went to our room, which was actually a shack, and were almost immediately run out by the bugs. Bugs in the bathroom, bugs in the bed,...

I made a reservation with Whistling Bird on May 16th. I was told that I needed to pay in advance by credit card. I asked what the cancellation policy was and I was told that it would not be a problem to XL for a full refund. I needed to cancel my entire trip four days later. I was given...

On June 5th, 2005 our daughter was married at the Whistling Bird. It was amazing! We took the whole resort for a four day period, filled it with our friends and family and celebrated non-stop! The ceremony itself took place at sunset, by the sea, with the 65 guests seated comfortably in a semi circle around a magnificent flowered arch...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beach cottages in a unique enclave. Totally immersed in nature, intensively landscaped. The cottages can be large or small, simple or deluxe. Whistling Bird offers amenities, several are unique. It's a small family business - an UNhotel, yet we have a pretty full slate of service to offer. We can do food and drink, a simple breakfast or dinner for example. What we really like to do is show off fine dining with our five course meal plan of refined Jamaican dishes. ... more   less
