Room was very nice with a walk out pool. Food was very good at the buffet and at all the restaturants. The resort was beautiful and very clean. The staff was so nice and the service was very good! We loved our bartender Kadeen Campbell! She took amazing care of us. Made the best drinks and we miss her already! Lindo got us to try water aerobics and we loved it! We would return to this resort.
Myself and my partner last stayed here in 2018 and have wanted to return ever since. So came December ninth 2021 and visit number two! Having just as many millions have recently endured the pandemics and various lockdowns imposed, we were both excited yet nervous about going abroad. However, we were totally safe from the off masks are mandatory across the resort and in some cases a condition of getting served at some of the lunchtime food outlets. We had a butler suite at the Hideaway section and we’re blessed by having Patrice again, complimented by Teon. They were an AMAZING team! And cannot thank them enough anticipated needs and looked after us making us want for nothing. My fiancé was taken ill as sadly the food poisoning suggestions recently circulating seem to have proven true. Yet with the help of the butlers she was soon fighting fit in a couple of days so thank you ladies. There’s plenty to chose from albeit we didn’t rate the Italian, our favourite was Zen, cooked by the legend that is Shane!! He is great. The room we were given was the same as last time block nine the views are incredible. An immaculate clean room prepared by the lovely Tiffany, she took a day off during our stay and the difference in cleans were noticeable so we looked after her. The attractions on offer were fairly limited given certain restrictions however, I used Nexus at the hotel for diving, snorkelling and boat trips reasonably priced and a great experience. Highly recommend the glass bottom snorkel tour for $35 it’s the most bang for buck ever snorkel on a reef then onto lobster island. Be mindful though the locals try to stitch you up for over priced food etc so state from the outset as the food cost us more than the trip! Lovely mind but a slight piss take. The staff in general, are awesome and can’t do enough for you, they’re very welcoming the only staff member we encountered a slight issue with was Chana, she worked on the diamond club pool bar I find as per last time she tends to cater to the Americans and Canadians more than anyone and is only receptive if your literally throwing tips at her her attitude hasn’t changed sadly. Dwight was Awesome as ever! Aaron in Gourmet Marche, was a great host and always made us welcome, Stevete in Armadillo great as ever. Glen at the dive shop was an absolute gentleman we did a dive with him he supported my fiancé who was struggling to get down, he didn’t give up on her though. The rooms are great very clean yet slowly getting a little tired. We are booked to return again next year and will stay for longer this time! Would highly recommend please look after these people they don’t get much out there yet so humble and welcoming.…
Dynamic and enthusiastic instructor (Lindo). Session pushed us all but adapted to suit those of us taking part - beginners to experts! Overall highly recommended at the Hideaway Royallton and GREAT FUN!
We went to stay at the hideaway royalton negril for 2 weeks for our honeymoon. We had a great time and the resort pools and beaches are great. We would recommend the swim up rooms and use of the hideaway if you want a more relaxed couples vibe. We also used the spa services which were good and had a romantic beach dinner. These cost extra but were good, especially the romantic dinner and our server Noraldo was really good. The hideaway bar staff and vibe team (entertainment team) were also great. The Food overall was great although sometimes it wasn't super clear what vegetarian options there were so it would have been good to have more access to menus for the restaurants in advance or more descriptive menus. There were some separate restaurants for hideaway guests including a chef out making e.g. jerk chicken which worked really well. There was also a takeaway pizza and coffee shop which was cool. Its worth taking lots of smaller bills for tips throughout. …
I stayed at this resort few days ago and from the checking to the end have been horrible. I checked in and was greeted with the standard greetings but the body languages was a total turn off. They appeared to treat whites people way better than their own black people/ to include locals. Guests walked up and down the buffet restaurant without wearing mask. Persons used their hands to serve themselves while the staff watches. I wanted packs of coffee at their main lobby cafe and was told I need to pay for it. The staff said it cost $25 but she could give me for $20. I asked if I can pay using my card and she said no, as it would be complicated. This shows that their down staff are robbing them. I asked for items to come to my room and it took them hours after several calls. At one point I had to go down to the front desk. There were more issues, however, I spoke to Management who offered me a compensation which I was not interested in. She were to call me back and she never did. There were more issues but its a waste of time as these people doesn't seems to take feedback/review seriously.…
