This hotel goes over and beyond accommodating. The staff are super helpful and courteous.. The food and beverages are excellent. It's on a fantastic beach, with comfortable beds to lounge in around the huge pool and lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The hotel is full of Jamaican history and is a great touch for first time visitors. The rooms are very comfortable and provide a great view of the Ocean. It is 5 mins from the airport and you will not be disappointed
Amazing experience at this hotel! All the staff are so friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. The best part of this hotel is how it is connected to doctors cave beach and just a 1 minute walk away. The food was amazing and the rooms were super clean as well. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back here!
What I wish I knew going in: - most of the food is not good - bring snacks, even if you just grab stuff at the airport. if you're going here looking forward to room service, pick somewhere else. - the food that is decent is in the dinner-only restaurant that takes reservations, and they get booked up quickly. I wish I would have known to plan in advance and made reservations to eat there every night. - the hours / locations for the restaurants are not written down anywhere or given to you when you check in. It took me a few days to figure out where to go when. - while they have an ATM, they don't have change to break bills, so you should bring LOTS of small bills with you for tips - the COVID testing is open for a 2-hour window each day, which means you need to plan the day before your departure around making sure you can be there during that window (assuming restrictions are still in place) The good: The S Hotel Jamaica's pool is the PERFECT place to lounge with a book or float all day. There's an abundance of seating options as well as benches in the pool to lounge on. The beach is so close and the water is amazing. For most of the day, there are poolside servers who bring you drinks. I got an ocean-view suite, and the soaking bathtub was exactly what I wanted! Most of the staff were extremely friendly. The not-so-good: While the room was large, it didn't really feel that clean. The curtains were visibly dirty and the showerheads in the bathroom were not all operational. I was able to enjoy the room in spite of this. Beach access is locked at night / in the morning, so you can't go out in the early morning like I usually prefer to! The best food by far is served at the "fancy" restaurant which requires reservations - they were booked up all but one night of my stay upon check-in. The bad: Most of the food was really, really bland or dry. The kitchen did not reliably have the items on the room service or pool menus. On the night I checked in, the only item they could offer me was a grilled cheese, and it was so dry it was almost inedible. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were so hit or miss. The fruit seemed very out of season. The omelet station is not well-advertised at breakfast, but was a highlight among a very dim food experience. The food situation would be tolerable if the price was lower, but after staying it's clear you're paying for location only.…
This hotel is a terrific find. Location perfect. Beach tremendous. Rooms modern clean and comfortable. Staff is attentive polite and very welcoming! The chef should be complemented on the quality of food the cleanliness of the restaurants and the tremendous line cook staff and welcoming wait staff. Special shout out to Paula and Zara at the front desk. Zara got my COVID test taken care of when time was of the essence. Great follow through! This place is just a great example of a well run property. The GM has done a great job in motivating and training the team. Keep it up.!! Eddie Marinucci
Just came back a couple days ago from the S Hotel in Montego Bay. All I can really say is wow. Had a great time/experience! The hotel is very modern.... the most modern I've seen in the Caribbean so far. Super clean, friendly staff, great food/drinks, great beach, live music in the evening. I loved it! Highly recommend ocean view rooms... view is stunning. The resort had a Miami vibe... if you like the Miami, feel you'll love it here. This isn't a typical all inclusive in the sense there aren't cheesy activities like the water aerobics etc during the day...It's more upscale. They have a live DJ by the pool every day which is awesome. You aren't allowed to bring drinks to the beach, but it's not a big deal as they have a bar at the beach with service and it's pretty cheap like $4 USD for a drink. The cafe had great coffee and delicious patties and snacks in between meas. Between the beautiful beach, friendly staff and gorgeous hotel..I'll definitely be back!! If you want to do excursions, ask the front desk and they can recommend companies to go with and also the life guard at the beach also offers excursions that you can book with him. Highly recommend if looking for a modern and cool resort. It had an adults only vibe... there were some kids, but definitely had more of that adult vibe. Loved the breakfast... delicious French toast, plantains, fresh omelettes etc. A bonus too is it's only 10 minutes from the airport which is super convenient! Was my first time in Montego Bay and couldn't be happier with the S Hotel! Will be back!…
