Wonderful place to stay

This is the place to be if you want to be close to Montego Bay without being in the chaos of the Hip Strip. You wake up and go to sleep to the sound of the ocean outside your window. A few steps from your bed and you are on the ocean side patio. A few steps down from the patio and find yourself in the beautiful, turquoise, warm waters. The manager, Bev, will go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. She will make arrangements for taxis, offer advice on places to eat, shop and transportation to other parts of the country. She seems to always be available when you want her. A short walk away you can visit Evelin’s by the beach for great food (even has vegan options) or the tropical beach a walk down the road for beach and cocktails atmosphere. Montego Bay is about 10 minutes or less away by taxi. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and strong and everything was clean. Jamrock exceeded our expectations and is a wonderful place to stay. …

Tranquility and a safe Haven

My husband and I chose this place based on reviews and words cannot describe our time here at this place ..Amazing does not do it justice ... breathtaking views ... absolutely :) .. our hostess has gone above and beyond for suggestions on places to eat , souvenirs at her shop ( seriously just shop with her everything else is the same and she has great stuff :) ) Bev has arranged trips to grocery store for snacks , shopping , a day trip to Negril and a daily driver .. I am completely blown away by all that she has done for us 2 days into our trip .. My phone didn't get signal yet when we decided to explore the city she texted us several times to make sure that we were ok and didn't need her assistance .. for me personally that speaks volumes.. She takes her job seriously as a hostess whether we are by her side or exploring the city . If you want peace and quiet and a total rejuvenation from your daily life .. this is the place to be .. granted the water is high right now so the beach is not 7 steps away .. it is about a 10 no it's walk to your left once you leave the property.. Tropical Bliss .. 5.00 to swim .. great drinks .. beautiful ocean and white sand beach.. honestly , the walk is a little unnerving , however , the people at Tropical Bliss are warm and welcoming . You will see stray pups ( only pet if they come up to you , not mean or aggressive , just wary of stranger and there are about 9 pups you will see on your jaunt to Tropical Bliss , but we'll worth the walk . Mitchie , a native islander along the way , super harmless but a very wise old man who is kind and only wants a cigarette and to tell you about his life and homeland.. be kind please as he is almost 75 and in and health as you will see as he struggle to speak to you and will take you to a friend's house to buy a souvenir .. so far he is the most interesting man we have met to date on our journey .. as far as a 1/10th of a mile away you will meet Jonesy... J onesy is a diabetic who will tell you and show you his foot and ask for a donation .. I'm a softehearted person , yet I work very hard for my money .. so no... just no ...keep walking .. anyway , I digress.. I try and keep it real and 100% honest in my reviews. My point ( If you wanna skip my long winded review ) I would recommend this private home 100x over a hipstrip hotel . No constant noise , just peace and quiet , spending a we'll deserved vacation in a little piece of paradise :) …
