What an a amazing time we have just had at Coyaba Beach Resort. The customer service is 5*. Absolutely every member of staff is friendly, helpful, informative and will stop and chat whenever they see you. It makes you feel very special. Particular mentions go to Roderick, Kiriana, Dwayne, Nigel, Roel and Willen. I just wish I could remember more names to thank. We traveled the week before Christmas and stayed through to New Year's Day. Week one was exceedingly quiet but it felt like you had paradise to yourself so no bad thing. We were also happy when the hotel was at full capacity on New Year's Eve. Always plenty of sunbeds and the most amazing white sand beach to laze the day away on. The New Year Gala was absolutely spectacular with a live band, 5* food and fireworks on the beach at midnight, we couldn't have asked for more. Rooms are not enormous but for the 3 of us, 2 x adult and 1 x 6ft teenager, we had plenty of space. Fabulous maid service. The island itself is very active in protection against covid so we felt safe out and about. A lot of attractions on the island aren't currently operating due to lack of tourists but the hotel will point you in the right direction and we had a couple of great days out. River Tubing (a must do) and snorkeling on a catamaran. The capital St George's is only 15 minutes away on the bus and is great to explore although the steepest hills I've ever come across! We honestly have had the best time and made lots of new friends. Many of the guests were returning visitors who visit every year and I can see why. Thank you to ALL at Coyaba for the best Christmas holiday! I almost forgot to mention that the spa ladies do a fabulous Swedish massage to add to the relaxed feel. Absolute bliss and not a single negative point to make. Also, a massive bonus is only a 10 minute taxi (driving slowly) ride from the airport to the hotel. Thank you and hope to see you again!

Just returned from 11 night stay at the Cotabato beach resort and what a great resort this is. It has the best location on the best beach on the island. It has a great team of staff who are polite and courteous and will have some fun. 20 yd’s from your bedroom to the dining room and the beach, brilliant. In the current climate with the restaurants only covered with a roof and curtains to the sides provided a open air felling with good air flow. Checking was smooth, rooms are great with air con, cleaned and made up daily. The gardens are well maintained. Food was good and all foods were covered until they were served to you. A supermarket and bank across the road. The locals were friendly and giving compliments of the day. Made you feel welcomed in their country. There were a few beach vendors who were polite as we were to them. There is a covid test centr about 10 minute walk away. Special mention to Willian from guest services who was very helpful. Good advice on trips. The only issue was a group of obnoxious American medicine students from St George’s University who made it uncomfortable for the guests on the beach who considering their training did not know the meaning of social distancing. It’s a public beach. If the Cotabato manager reads this, please pass on my compliments to your staff for making our stay a great one. Merry Christmas and stay safe.

Wow! I can’t say enough about our experience at this resort! The reservationists, the managers, the cleaning staff, and the servers were all amazing! We hated to leave! The staff really went above and beyond during our trip! The breakfast buffet was amazing! The omelet station was delightful. It was a quiet resort when we visited in early December. We felt like we had the resort to ourselves! I can’t imagine finding a better resort on the island.

We had a very pleasant 2 week break. We were on all inclusive plan and were able to enjoy milk shakes, rum and coke and wines cocktails etc., as and when we wanted them. We were told that Cappuccino was chargeable, but they do provide instant coffee and tea in the room with a kettle. It is a pity that they do not provide milk for tea, only coffemate for coffee. The Internet is fast in the rooms and free of charge. I also found that there was no charge on my mobile phone for texts and phone calls coming in. I did not roam whilst there, because Grenada does not have a reciprocal arrangement with my mobile network at home. The breakfast was ample with a pancake and omelette station manned by a chef. There were a variety of cooked breakfast items including fried plantains. There is fruit as well, mainly sliced Guava and Melon with runny yogurt. Tea and coffee, a selection of cold drinks, and toast or plain bread. Some days there were bananas to eat. We did have one evening meal on arrival and that was enjoyable, however we found that 7pm was too late for us to eat, as we never really adjusted to Grenada time, waking up at 5am most mornings. We took advantage of the all day menu which starts at 11am and ate most days on our own, and were welcomed by the staff,. The food was excellent but the menu very limited, obviously due to the small occupancy, due to the Covid situation. We were fortunate that they did not give us the PCR test at the airport on arrival, that Ministry on Grenada said we must take, but we got a refund on this. We did of course have to pay for a PCR test before travelling which was checked at Heathrow before departure. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and relaxed, which really made for a lovely holiday. The bedding and towels were changed daily and the maid service worked so hard to maintain hygiene and comfort. The King Size bed was comfortable and the room was also spotless. The power sockets are all UK standard, and there are plenty of them in the room. The location is superb and the Grand Anse Beach and sea are lovely. My wife doesn't normally swim in the sea but we both had a great time swimming and floating in the sea there which was quite warm. The pool swim-up bar is a great place to relax after a swim, and we enjoyed many cold drinks there. Of special merit are the gardens in the property, which were tended throughout our stay by a very capable lady, who seemed to be sweeping up leaves daily as well. There was another gardener as well, and both of them were happy to chat as we passed by. We also had two lovely trips on the Island, the highlights of which were seeing and mixing with the Mona Monkeys and having tea at the Tower Estate Gardens. From Managers, to chamber maids, security staff, maintenance staff, waiters, receptionists, and waitresses, everyone had time to speak to us which was pleasant. We also had a complimentary Swedish Massage from Petra. We could also have had a complimentary diving lesson, but this is not one of our interests. Thanks to all of the staff and management for a really memorable holiday, it has set us up for the British Winter! The people in Bermuda are all very pleasant and helpful, even the taxi drivers and airport officials.

This is a lovely hotel with staff who know what they are doing and how to please. They really bent over backwards to make our stay truly memorable. We had to take a PCR test on arrival and quarantine in our room for just under 24 hours till the ok came through. They sent up everything to our rooms and so quickly too - nothing was too much trouble and they were all so friendly and efficient. The gardens are really lovely - just steps away from the beach and quiet. Ecodive is on-site and offer great diving in small groups - one of the best companies I have had the pleasure to dive with. The main restaurant was open and as we had arrived during curfew time, we had to have the all-inclusive package. Unlimited cocktails went down a treat and the food was also delicious. If you want lobster or a steak, they are available at an additional charge but very reasonable. The restaurant team was great. They arranged car hire for us with S&M Rental, which was the cheapest on the island and our SUV was brand new! So easy to drive. All in all, the hotel was faultless, had so much soul in comparison with its more modern swanky neighbours - but that's what you get from a family-owned hotel!
