We stayed in La Romana for a week long missions trip in June 2016. The staff did not speak any English but were very eager to service and help in any capacity. The hotel rooms were not the best, but they served their purpose for us. We had a/c, clean rooms, and working water (not all rooms had "hot" water)....

I URGE ALL ECO minded people not to shop at Jumbo Supermarkets! Jumbo no longer allows people to bring in their own permanent bags to pack their groceries in to prevent the horrible pollution of billions of throwaway plastic bags that also kill birds, fish and other wildlife! They actually took my bags away from me at the door. This...

Room and bathroom: clean, functional A/C, intermittent water access Staff: approachable, eager to help Food: responsive to suggestions though still a bit bland Communal space: minimal, dimly lit WIFI: strong and reliable in lobby and some rooms Overall experience: great hotel for someone looking for a clean, no frills, cheap, hotel. Not advised for large groups looking to spend time...

La Romana town lacks decent hotels in general. I stayed here one night while visiting a sick relative. The A/C was not working. The shower head was missing. I did not want to inspect the room and beds too much so I would not run out of the place. It was not a good night. It is a shame that...

Dirty, broken windows, water taps that cannot be opened, i.e. no water and uncharming personnel. This place is a disgrace where we had booked, then asked to change room, then finally left without spending the night because it is simply awfull. We don't even understand how this can receive average ratings. Oh, yes, it is also expensive ... very.

This is a small hotel, small rooms, but clean. If you just need to get a night's rest, this inexpensive hotel is more than worth the $50 a night. Even though a meal is included, definitely go out to eat. The hotel restaurant is not the place to go. Don't get your hopes up,it might be called the River View,...

This hotel is absolute joke - THE worst I've stayed at, including in this price range. First, no one in the reception spoke even basic English. When I was taken up to my room (after a slow check in process), they did not give me a key as apparently they were looking for it. When I checked out the room,...

I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights as I live in Puerto Plata. This is not a tourist place for luxery hunters but for people passing by. Most visitors are Dominicans like civil servants, military, politicians, local business For only RD$ 1.350 a night (US$ 37) yu have a "clean" room with airco, fridge, cableTV,...
