The presidential suites hotel has one of the biggest hotel rooms I ever stayed in and the bed was very comfortable that I slept as if I was in my own bed. You must visit and come with a group of people and enjoy it. Staff catered to us with rides on the golf cart when needed and even delivered us food from a nearby grocery store for a small fee.

We had a wonderful time! Our rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was beautiful and not crowded. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food/beverage were better than expected and tasty. We had no issues with water hot or cold. There were rolling black outs of 5-10 minutes but never long enough to create issue with keeping the unit cool. There was a safe in the unit which we utilized and no issue with break-ins. The beach isn't huge but beautiful with ocean breakers (Actually a cove). Therefor no watersports as advertised unless you book an excursion. We did have torrential rain on a few days and other areas of the lifestyle resort did have issues with water coming in ground floor units - we did not. Please note presidential suites is one of several sub resorts within lifestyles. You have access to use the others along with buffets(2) & varied restaurants( need reservations). There are some owner restricted areas/ restaurants which we didn't have access to. One more thing- none of us got sick. We did not drink tap water, and they provided bottled water daily to unit. Beware there was a sales pitch too.
All and all we had a blast and would go back!

I am extremely disappointed with the Presidential. The resort is becoming more rundown and the hotel keeps giving us the run around with dealing with our concerns. The Air Conditioning has not been working for 4 days. We keep on telling the front desk and the maintenance people and nothing has been done. I asked if we will get compensated for us not having AC and they told us they will pass it on to the manager. We have not heard back from management yet. The weather has been extremely hot. Another issue is that there is only hot water in the showers periodically. The sliding doors to the balconies also do not lock properly because the latches are broken. One of the doors has a wide gap so the air escapes. Now the front desk and resort staff are nice however the Resort itself is beginning to fall apart. The food is no longer up to standards. The buffests have very little offering. I can't believe that the last couple of Cuban resorts I have been to has much better food. After hours all they have is hamburgers and hotdogs despite whether you are a VIP guest or not. The alcohol brands are all local brands. Only the Chairman Circle members get premium drinks. They don't even allow others to purchase premium rail which is a plow to get you to buy into their timeshare program. As a Travel Agent I was in Punta Cana two weeks ago at the RIU and the food was 10 times better. A few weeks before then I was in Puerto Rico, St Maarten, St Lucia, St Thomas, Jamaica and Mexico and the food was much better at all those destinations. The Presidential Suites used to be a place that you desired to stay at but they are not upkeeping it. Although the rooms are huge I would say it is a 2.5 stars by American standards and a 3.5 by Caribbean standards. Now Lifestyle has some brand new Villas that are part of the Vacation club that are stunning, 5 star standards however you will have to use the same horrible buffets. The VIP restaurants are okay. The Mexican was the most tasty. Although they have a nice ambience in some of them the foods are again okay. Back to the Presidential. With some minor upgrades and repairing their AC, showers and tiles they can get the accommodation side of it back up to 5 stars but lots needs to be done with the buffet choices and being attentive to customer concerns. I should not be in a room that is reading at 27 Celsius aka 81 f. There was a huge Cockaroach in our bathroom today. It is expected that with the AC not working the bugs from outside feel more comfortable coming in the room. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This place was so Amazing! My wife and kids loved it. There’s just so many activities there and 7 different private beaches, 19 restaurants on the resort grounds. There’s all different types of suites to private villas to penthouses! It was absolutely amazing I’m definitely going back there soon. I would highly recommend going here. Also get the All Inclusive and pay within 24hrs of your booking and it’s half the price of getting it when you get there. And there’s so much to do there we went on a monster buggy adventure we took the cable car up to their tallest mountain, which there’s a restaurant up there. There’s a golf course right near the resort. There was four of us on our trip they gave us two golf carts to drive around the resort Because the place is so big. They also have their own Colosseum there and they do acts seven nights a week. The staff there is so friendly and help you with whatever you need there’s 19 different restaurants on the resort grounds tons of swimming pools and Jacuzzis. They have private villas there 3 to 7 bedrooms which all have private pools and Jacuzzis we stayed at the presidential suite for three nights and it was amazing and then they moved us to our private four bedroom villa. That was absolutely amazing. A private chef would come every morning and make us breakfast at whatever time we wanted. We would be able to pick one day out of the week for the chef to come and do our own private barbecue I would highly recommend this place Lifestyle Holiday Vacation Club!

DO NOT DO IT! We were here for a week and didn’t get hot water until day before leaving. One day, didn’t have any water!! Keys did not work most of the time and had to get them reprogrammed 5 out of 7 days. Air conditioner barely worked room temperature wouldn’t go lower than 78 degrees. We were supposed to have a concierge and call him to take us around resort via golf cart. He took me to the sales office for what was to be an hour but was 3 hours even after letting them know I was not buying their vacation club. He said just call anytime. We called and he was done work -“left early that day”. Called next morning- he was OFF Wednesday and Thursday!! So we never got to use him more than 1 ride. Power goes out throughout entire resort a minimum of 3 times a day. It’s very dark when it happens at night. Took 2 days for someone to come fix toilet that wouldn’t flush
Customer service starts out very strong but buy end of week, it drops significantly The water is not Caribbean blue - it’s murky brown and rocky (limited beach access) - Advertises free WiFi - only true if you are at your part of resort not when you go to dinner or anywhere else in resort. If you go as RCI member you are very limited with what you can access. They say “x” number of restaurants but you can only eat at a select few.

We vacation in the Dom Republic every year and wanted to try a new resort and location. This resort visit was not good. The website pictures and actual residence does not match. There was no onsite beach front property. Everyone has to be bused to another resort to enjoy the beach, ocean front waters and other entertainment events. The desk staff were not very pleasant and not helpful. The inclusive meal and drink plan for two people charged for four people ($1800 for 7days) the full adult price without any exceptions. We were only staying for 4 days. We did not check into the resort and went to another "Adults Only" resort 20 minutes away and were treated to 5 days of VIP accommodations / all inclusive / beach front beds and bar / nightly entertainment and parties / free boat excursions / reserved dinning / clean room services and friendly staff for $750, and much less than the price we would have spent at this resort.

This is the worst all-inclusive as they call it. The rooms are ok but they need to work on the a/c they leak and have a foul odor. They are probably filled with mold. And they lie and say maintenance came and looked at it but they never came in. Coming through RCI you are limited to where you can go and do not get the VIP restaurants. Also, upon arrival, you had to pick 3 restaurants and say you could get more reservations for the other nights but that is not true. We had to argue with the front desk and got dinner reservations for the 6 nights we had there. 24-hour food service is a joke. You can not order food to your room. You have to go and eat at a buffet. The pools need a lot of work. No one wants to swim with broken tiles and chipped paint. The bartenders expect a tip from you. Unless you have a gold or white wrist band you are not important. The food is not good at the buffets. The restaurants we went to were pretty good but could have been better. The only beer that you will get is Presidente on draft. Some of the restaurants have Heineken. I would spend my money elsewhere, instead of trying to sell you a timeshare and building a nice villa they need to work on putting money in the other parts of the hotels and pools. Don't fall for the tour around the place they are making a stop at the sales center.

Room bathrooms with bad smell of rot, breakfast and food little variety, as it is possible that in the
Breakfast there is not even hot chocolate where we walk with children, to be able to Reservation in one of the restaurants is how to get the lottery, thanks to the young Katherine Peña for the collaboration and the good service when we get a reservation in one of the restaurants, this VIP hotel has nothing, the next day the replacement of the clean towels of the room were made very late. The only 10/10 area where you feel VIP, is on the beach, excellent service, good drinks.

There is no disco, there is a casino that
Music is very good, but they only play it on Fridays, when you go on Saturday in the same mood to enjoy the open casino bar but without music.

We had a fantastic week with some excursions mixed in with beach time. Access to multiple resorts a plus. Buffet food could have been better but the restaurants were great. Not crowded at all in Feb, which was perfect for us. There was a red flag on the beach almost every day, but we took the risk on our last day there to enjoy the ocean, which wasn’t bad at all. We only caught 1 show and it was OK. The chairs for the outdoor stadium were all kinda moldy, but wasn’t too bad. The only part I really disliked was the limited beach cabanas and they allowed people to place towels there to mark their spots even overnight so other guests never had a chance to use them. There should be a daily time when all personal belongings are removed if left unattended.

I truly believe that if anyone is going to stay at this Resort I hope you read this review before booking and book at the other Resort Tropical which is much nicer, cleaner, and better service.

To start off it was my birthday weekend and the first room we checked-in too the bed mattress felt like a kid mattress and I could feel the springs on my back. After the 1st night in that room we complained and we were moved to the same room just 3 floor ups. This room the tube was clogged and the sink too. We complained with guest service and front desk and they did nothing about it for 2 days by the second day we ran out of beer and water and we called to get the fridge refreshed and we never got any water or beer for the remaining of our stay which was 4 days later. the service sucks and the beach is not in that resorts its at the other resort which you have to take a shuttle to get to since its a long walk in the heat and up/down hills streets. the pool looked green and dirty and the restaurant at this resort really suck. They had not flavor and taste nasty. The bar only had 4 options of alcohol and it tasted like crap. Our stay was horrible and the Resort took us on a tour to upgrade our wrist band which turned out to be a lie since we didn't buy one of their timeshares and don't fall for the 1 hour tour cuz it was 4 hrs. of nothing and prices were crazy expensive. The COVID-19 test to return was done at the other resort Tropical which was a lot nicer and cleaner. We had to wait almost an hour to get the test done to then get the results back at our hotel after they tell you to wait for the results there which we wasted another 45 mins for nothing. The people working there accept you to tip them every time you ask or want something if not they don't service you or they just walk away and forget you ever asked them.

Beach is clean and you can definitely swim in the ocean. Waves were a little large while we were there but we were told it was because of a weather system off the coast. I suggest you bring inflatable rafts/donuts with you. You can purchase them in the gift shop but they are quite pricey.

Certainly! Luxurious suites, lots of pools, very nice beaches with lounges. It is a big resort, lots of great restaurants. Some entertainment at times. There are some tours into town and a boat trip to a sand bar where you can snorkel. Take the gondola up the mountain to the arboretum. There is also a series of waterfalls on the mountain to slide down. Go in the winter months unless you like it really steamy. Enjoy!
