I stayed with my parents and daughter for 3 days on our way to Las Terrenas. Is not far from the city but the neighborhood might scare you. Is a budget hotel so don't expect nothing fancy. Fernando and Roberto (taxi driver) are very helpful, especially Roberto. He did helped me a lot. You can eat breakfast there for $... More

The best hotel at any price (under $50) for 2 persons with a great breakfast included in Santo Domingo. The rooms are clean & classic with no complaints possible. The shower does take about 2 minutes to run hot as we like it. The arepas with eggs & ham for breakfast just can’t be beat. Also complimentary coffee and fresh... More

danae street has a half a dozen hotels within comfortable walking distance of the medical facility that checks you out for a larcenous amount of money prior to getting a visa for the u.s. there really isn't much difference in any of these hotels. they are old, inexpensive, relatively clean, and most have a courteous staff. we have stayed at... The Riparbella offers to their guest a quiet, comfortable, friendly and clean environment to their guest, that compete with their most expensive choices around. Riparbella provides nice clean restroom with the ammenities that others will charge, for free (wifi, local calls) at a very fraction of their price and is located at the heart of the city of Santo domingo, just... My wife and I frequently stay at this hotel for work and pleasure whenever we are in the capitol. The prices are fair ($1,100 pesos for my wife and I and $1,500 pesos for four people). The rooms are clean, air conditioning cold and internet works well most of the time. Most rooms have a mini fridge and the staff... More

The Riparbella is functional but not exciting. The rooms are quite clean, TV, AC, and hot water all work (a rarity to get all three functioning). Drinking water on the first floor. Many rooms do not have windows to the outside but this is quite common in the DR. Staff friendly and competent. I'd disagree with other reviews that say... More

Compared to some of the other hotels in the area, this is the only one that offers consistently functioning air conditioning (the other frequently loose the power for it). They also have cable TV which includes some English language channels if that's your thing. Finally they are literally only about a 10 minute walk from El Conde and the colonial... More

I chose this b&b based on the price and reviews. I wasn't disappointed. The room was clean, had a/c, hot water & a comfortable bed. The location was safe and the hotel staff accommodated us w/whatever we needed. It's walking distance from just about everything. The Colonial Zone was a short taxi ride away. At night the street was very... More
