Ok - the hotel may need a little bit of TLC but the staff are fantastic and its location is a delight. Get an ocean view room as this is the place to be. Lots of diving opportunities and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Enjoy beautiful Dominica from here and you will have a superb time

The views, history, proximity to walking around for lunch in town, and especially the staff - so amazingly friendly and sincere. We stayed in an ocean view room. Amazing how sound-proofed the doors were. Coffee on the terrace. Wonderful. Breakfast overlooking the ocean. Food great.

Our group of 12 went to Dominica to scuba dive. Fort Young Hotel was chosen because of reviews of the hotel and the dive operation (Buddy Dive). Although we had issues in out room with the safe not working twice, the toilet not flushing as expected, ants in my bed and a leak in the ceiling when it rained, we...

The hotel is the best on the island within a reasonable price range, but the hotel is not a luxury hotel which was okay with us. Super convenient to Roseau and scuba diving. Has a nice view of the Caribbean and we went for lap swims in front of the hotel every day by jumping off of the pier with...

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed the pool, the restaurants and the location of the hotel. We would recommend staying at Fort Young. We went River tubing, whale watching and walked around town to shop.

Despite issues with our room I loved the the hotel, the country and also the fascinating town which comes alive when the cruise liner visits. Breakfast and evening meal is taken on the balcony overlooking the most spectacular views of the sea and mountains. This is a sprawling and occasionally bewildering complex on various levels with spectacular views of the...

I have enjoyed the quality experience at Fort Young for the past decade or more and I would not trade it for anything. Never disappointed in the quality of the facilities, service and of course the professionalism and warmth of their staff. Keep it up Fort Young you are a credit to the hotel sector of the Caribbean!!

Overall, very impressive. Safe, clean, courteous, responsive. Great views from oceanfront rooms (did not see view from other rooms). Slight negatives for very slow bar/restaurant service, and the occasional day when not all towels were replaced. Excellent wi-fi. Quality dive shop (Buddy Dive) on premises is a plus (we dove 17 times during our 1 week stay). Tours offered through...

This hotel was a nice one. The room was spacious and modern (had a nice view as well). The restaurants had quite nice food. There were a couple of minor glitches (the safe didn't function properly but they sent someone down to fix it pretty quickly and our packed lunches weren't always exactly what we ordered but not a big...
