Very helpful staff, close to the reefs, with Dive Dominica on-site. Beds are springs, and hard. Not as bad as most on Cozumel. The rooms need shower curtains to not wet the floor. Rooms need hotter hot water too. A/C works very good, small LCD TV, no alarm clock or radio, phone with wake-up call. Place really, really needs fly...

I researched Dominica, Roseau, and Castle Comfort Dive lodge pretty thoroughly before making our decision. I wanted to go somewhere that offers a lot of sightseeing, adventure, natural beauty. The more rustic and off the beaten path the better as far as I am concerned. We booked our flights to and from with US Airways from Charlotte NC to St...

Getting to Dominica is a problem but once you are there the trip is not over. Our hotel shuttle told us the trip from the airport to Castle Comfort was a little over an hour. Because of road construction it was over 1.5 hours. Customs was slow and if you fly Liat, you pray your luggage has arrived. Everyone in...

We were met at the small Dominica airport by an air conditioned van and driven to the hotel. The 1 1/2 hour drive was slow going due to the road construction and the very curvy road. The ride gives you a chance to see some of the island. Once at the lodge, we were greeting with a great rum punch...

The drive from the airport is an hour and a half on a road that is partially under construction. They said it would be finished in about a year. Once it is done, the drive should be about an hour. The staff was very friendly and was always ready to please. The lodge was very clean. You could sign out...

The hotel itself was only so-so, and would only have received 3/5 if not for the associated restaurant and dive shop. The rooms were adequate: clean with large beds, one dresser, one closet, a safe, cable TV, wireless internet, and a decent bathroom. The mattresses weren't spring mattresses and took some getting used to, but were comfortable enough. The staff...

Diving was good. Accomodations were basic and clean. Staff provided the basic services but weren't overly helpful. Maybe it was because of the Carnival Celebration?? Two things that need to be shared. DO NOT FLY LIAT AIRLINES. They lost the luggage of 20 percent of the passengers both coming and going. These were short 45 minute flights. Then the airline...

Spouse and I stayed here in February for 10 days/11 nights. We could easily stay here again. I would recommend this lodge for singles, married and bring the kids, especially if they dive, snorkel or hike with you! Rooms are basic, what you would expect at a Super 8 or Best Western. Maid service kept the room clean and stocked...
