Dan from Montreal, Vacation period February 4th to February 11th To make this review as honest as possible and concise I would seriously not recommend at this time this hotel. The Starfish hotel is an old hotel built in 1998 and was just bought last august 2016 from a new Cuban administration. It seems to be in a transition much...

We went to Starfish Varadero, all inclusive, for a week - Feb 13-20, 2017. The resort is under new management and sections of the hotel were closed for renovations. The benefit of this was that there weren't huge numbers of people. Very few if any line-ups for anything. The beach is amazing! 20 kms of beach--deep almost white soft sand,...

Room: not bad at all clean, spacious, nothing fancy good enough I did not go to only sleep. Clean sheets and bathroom that was enough for us. Hotel: beautiful, yes it needs to properly upgrade it. It looks like the tourists that had been there had been ignorant and had destroyed some part of the hotel. Staff: Well my mother...

The interior of the hotel is very dirty with no attention to detail, All the hallway carpets were disgusting and I would not let my dog sleep on them. The urinals were out of order, very seldom was there bathroom tissue or towels to dry your hands. Some toilet seats were missing or broken in the lobby, bar, and restaurant...

We were warned that this was a lower level resort but we wanted a great experience for our children and grandchildren and the grounds, magnificent beach, beautiful pools and amazing entertainment far exceeded our expectations. The grandkids can't wait to go back again next year.

Front desk was hard to deal with and we never got beach towels after first day. I really like Cuba but I would not choose this hotel unless they...
