A word of warning... don't go to Havana expecting the earth - accept the city for what it has been through (and continues to endure) and you won't be disappointed. Those who complain about things that don't work or the noise of the traffic really are missing the whole point about Havana... it is a vibrant city trapped in a...

This was the one place I wanted to visit.. I wanted to have drinks and eat at the rooftop but they did not let us in. My stars are based on that.. I had requested information via trip advisor asking if we would let in even if we were staying there and I got a reply back from a person...

The Hotel Saratoga in Havana is beautifully positioned between the old and older parts of town. It has an impressive facade and is even more luxurious inside. When I say luxurious I mean more classically decorated. It's kept an almost decadent styling befitting a Havana of the 1950's. Reception was welcoming and friendly and made things as easy as possible...

This is a great location. Nice comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Nice rooftop pool and bar as well as mezzanine lounge area. However, one must remember that this country is very new to American tourist industry. If your expectations are a Four Seasons, Ritz, or Penninsula...you will be disappointed. Nevertheless...it does have all the amenities that will make your stay very...

Beautifully appointed, in art deco style, this property is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Old Havana area. It offers elegant surrounds, with comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent beds and bedding, good housekeeping and a varied and excellent breakfast buffet, as well as and a very pleasant bar/cafe area, and a pool area.

It really is not that good. The Kampinsky will knock this out of the ballpark. Agree that the staff is arrogant. The breakfast was very ordinary. The room was not all that clean - finding long hairs in the bathtub etc. Dripping toilet (out of the cistern onto the bathroom floor) to keep you up at night. The gym was...

Good "downtown" hotel with professional, helpful staff. Rooms clean and well kept. Breakfast buffet and wait staff wonderful. The roof top pool, bar and facilities a great with fantastic views of the city.

Good location, nice clean rooms, luxury according to Cuban standards, but has nothing to do with being in Cuba. No atmosphere at all. The rooftop bar that offers a fantastic view over the old city of Havana closes at 8 pm. That is really a shame. Breakfast buffet is of good quality but choice is limited. Staff behind reception is...

We heard that this was a great spot for a rooftop drink, so after great afternoon at the beach, we walked over from our casa in Habana Vieja. The doorman indicated we take the elevator to the top floor ("P"), so we walked through the beautiful lobby and headed up. At the top, we were greeted by glorious views of...

Did not stay at the Saratoga (luckily booked the Parque Central which was much more convienient and far superior service) but popped to the rooftop for drinks and a small dinner one night. The service could not have been worse - very slow (more than usual...), an incorrect and cold food order (inedible) and rude staff. Very glad that we...
