We reserved at the Hostal Peregrino by email and since the hostal was full, they offered us an "Affiliated Casa Particular" nearby. The apartment was absolutely atrocious. It was extremely rundown, owned by an elderly lady who clearly couldn't keep up with the upkeep, and just a miserable situation. On top of that, they were charging well above what a...

We stayed here for 3 days at the start of our Cuban holiday with our 2 year old daughter. The lounge area is so relaxing with comfy sofas and a balcony full of toy figurines which my daughter absolutely loved when Julio introduced her to it. Our room was big with a fridge (for Cristal beers), plenty of storage space...

Visited Cuba in Jan. 2017 and stayed couple nights in this amazing Havana Hostal and in other hostals in other Cuban cities, they cooperate with. First, we have never ever seen such a professional stuff as we experienced here, helpful, polite, friendly, with excellent English and ready to help you in any kind of request. Elsa and Julio, who both...

Our first stop on an 18 day trip around the western half of Cuba. Hostal Peregrino organised a taxi collection from the airport which is very comforting when arriving in a new country. Rooms were very clean and breakfasts varied and filling. Elsa used her telephone to confirm our further accommodation bookings around Cuba. The hostal was located only a...

My wife and I stayed at the Hostal Peregrino this past week and enjoyed our 5-day stay at their Consulado location. The hostel is walking distance to the Malecon and to Habana Vieja. Paseo del Prado is only a block away. The accommodations are comfortable, the bathroom is clean and breakfast plentiful. Most of all is the friendliness of Elsa,...

Hostal Peregrino was our first stop in Cuba. This was bullseye. The owners (Julio and Elsa) are really friendly and helpful and can arrange about anything in Havana for you. They speak English really well. Airport pickup and online bookings are possible at this hostel. The rooms are really, really nice and the breakfast is very good. Tip: ask for...

We stayed in an apartment near the hostel which meant we had more privacy and space than expected and paid 45 CUC for one night. The bed was the most comfortable we had in 2 weeks in Cuba and the breakfast was slightly varied from the normal fruit, eggs and bread we had everywhere else. The staff were nice and...

We stayed here on our first days in Havana, and the location is really good for orientating yourself in Havana. But for the price they are asking, you can find better rooms anywhere in the city. We had the cheapest room, which hardly fit a queensize bed. Its only window looked into the staff’s bathroom, which meant that we woke...

The host are amazing and always willing to help! The breakfast is good for cuban standard and the location isnt too bad. Street can be a little noisey at times but in saying that we stayed during New years eve! so was expected.

It is one street away from El Prado, so very well located. (The down side is that you hear all the noisy vehicles which pass by) Breakfast was so-so, but that is fairly typical in Cuba; all 12 of you are squeezed round one large table.
