This resort is located a 15 minute bus ride to the centre of Havana. Spend the day amidst the hustle of the vibrant city and then enjoy the R&R of the resort. Yes, it is dated, but it was clean when I was there and the staff - most accommodating! The breakfast has a variety of foods from which to...

Convenient if the plan is to see Havanna. It is not a destination on its own unless you are very tolerant. The food is full of flies, the showers are a hassle, and the toilets run. The locks, doors, windows, and safes are questionable and unlikely to work. It does not matter that the staff is obliging and helpful as...

Old and not very clean but perfectly located near the Havana. Shuttles run every 40 minutes for 5 CUC. For those who want to relax, pool is very comfortable and you will fine some good chicken and fish to eat at lunch time. I would recommend the hotel for people who are essentially interested in visiting the Havana at low...

As others have said, nice friendly folks there for basic accommodation. However, I will not be returning to Cuba. The litter was everywhere beaches, streets, streams ....everywhere. Too disheartening to ever return to Cuba.

Staff were friendly. Place is clean. It's a 2 star so that makes it worth it. Food was terrible at the restaurant, but the pool bar was pretty good for food. As well there is a great restaurant within walking distance. Room was very dated, no hot water most days. Beach is just off the resort and was clean water....

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort! We arrived at 4am and the security guard walked us to our room. We changed rooms on the 3rd day, because we wanted an ocean view. But we sacrificed a more comfortable bed and working fridge, but that didn't bother us... the sunset view every night was worth it! The air conditioner...

This is a 2 star hotel. There are negatives: our room never had hot water, the toilet occasionally failed to flush, sometimes there was no water at all. (There was also a very windy day when the power went out for about 8 hours, but that probably wasn't their fault.) Our air conditioner made strange noises; I think it wasn't...

We stayed at villa bacuranao for 1 week and enjoyed our stay there. We only had breakfast included with our stay and the omelettes were quite good. Coffee was bad but for an extra CUC you could order pretty good cappuccinos and expressos :) The beach was nice - we did not use the pool but did eat at the...

This local resort is worn and dated, but cute in a brightly painted cinder-block kind of way. Yes it's older but not badly maintained and they are working on improvements. Location is fabulous, overlooking a pocket beach with a little store and restaurant. To get to Havana is a 15 CUC taxi (one way) or .05 CUC (!) local bus...

Villa Bacuranao is a pretty basic resort, it served it's purpose for me. Staff was super friendly and helpful and did their best to accommodate and offer suggestions. The pool area is lovely, fried chicken is available fresh with potatoes and salad for minimal cost from the hut nearby, drinks were delicious (2 CUC for a mojito) and some snacks...
