We just returned from 4 days in Havana at Hostal Balcones. Isabel was in Spain but the other staff kept things running smoothly and provided good breakfasts and the comforts of home. Nice balance of respect for privacy and availability to help. We appreciated Liennes help with questions and offering assistance when we needed it. We had room number 2...

When we arrived at night in this place, we were told by the owner that was full and that we were going to be transfered to another Casa just across the street. If this Casa was full (and had a few days to confirm with us) they should'nt have accepted our reservation and let us choose were to stay. Lucly...

This casa is clean and professionally-operated. It is centrally-located amidst all the main attractions in Old Havana. The owner, the staff, and all those associated with the casa (drivers & guides) are all top-notch, respectful, courteous, and on-time. My wife and I had an amazing experience in Hostal Balcones. The breakfast is good. The house is clean and airy. Our...

The house is charming and clean. The location is excellent, we walked to almost all the places that we wanted to see. One of the three rooms is a little small. The bathrooms are new and the water works well. The ladies running the house are nice. Breakfast is good and plentiful. We had one dinner at the house and...

The room was nice and cosy. We specialy liked to have the balcony of our own. It was lovely to watch the city and the people from there. You can't get any better hostess as Isabella was! She was very warm and friendly, and helped us to make the really unforgettable 29 days tour in Cuba with her connections and...

The general air of delipidatiion of Havana was somewhat of a surprise but we soon realised we had arrived at an interesting place to stay when the door key arrived on a piece of string from above. Remember the stairs are a bit of a challenge after a transatlantic flight but it's worth the climb. We were travelling as a...

Hostal Balcones was a wonderful place to stay. It is close to key locations and Isabella, the owner was very helpful with getting a taxi and accommodating other requests such a finding a manicurist and where to buy good coffee... Plus she made the best coffee that we has on our three week trip. Will definitely come back!

Stayed there for 4 days around New Year's Eve. Everything was perfect, room is very clean and comfortable and I loved high ceilings and lovely colonial style of the house. Being in the old part of Havana it can get pretty noisy over the night but it close to everything (5 min walk). Isabel speaks English really good which was...
