Stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed it. The decor is very colonial and the building is a historical monument so it has its quirks but the rooms are clean and comfy, the staff mostly friendly and the ambience wonderful Cuban. The food is not bad although as weigh most places in cuba some items on offer aren't... More

Service is atrocious at this gorgeous place. A real shame when you take into account the beauty of the building and its location in the heart of Havana Vieja. The staff is not attentive at all and they just do not have time for you and your needs. Not recommend! !!

By sheer luck my travel agent booked me into the Inglaterra for my two week visit to Havana. As it turned it, the hotel is situated centrally for most points of interest. As a solo traveller who unfortunately doesn't speak Spanish, I initially found Havana overwhelming, but the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My main reason for visiting... More

We stayed here for 3 nights early November. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the old city within comfortable walking distance of the squares. This is an older hotel so you must expect some old features. like mild drain smells now and again and a bit of noise. However, we were comfortable in a large bedroom with... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in Oct 2016. The check in staff were unwelcoming and didn't mind leaving people to wait while they chatted to colleagues. Over the course of the 5 days we didn't get so much as a smile or "thank you" at the reception desk. They didn't care if they served you or not, I have... More

Stayed 5 nights too long in October. Hotel is well located, historic, with a once magnificent, lobby and dining room. Here ends the positive. Staff from reception to Dining and Bar were indifferent bordering on rude. The breakfast buffet was appalling, very limited food, filthy table cloths and if enough plates etc likely dirty, staff look blankly and fail to... More

This sits right beside the National Theatre and the Capitol and looks quite swish. We were finding Havana quite expensive so thought this would be astronomical. Fortunately we were pleasantly surprised 3CUC for a mojito and 1.5 for a real lemonade. Great place to watch the world go by and a bonus was a live salsa band

We stayed here for four nights at the end of October. The accommodations were ok BUT the air conditioner did not work and the rude staff at the reception desk refused to move us to another room. They also refused to convert our CUCs back to US dollars when we checked out. The linens were soiled and were never changed.... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in October 2016. The hotel is in one of the main squares in Havana next to the theatre and capital building, making it an ideal location for tourists wanting to explore Havana by foot. The building is grand and there is a sense of history about it. However the rooms are tired... More
