A delightful visit at Aruba so far at Barcelo. Right when we arrived, actually, Edward greeted us with some delicious mai thais (I hope I spelled that right) and then we had the pleasure of having him as our waiter for dinner! I ordered the grilled tuna and the mashed potatoes were *chef's kiss*. The best part, though, was the service. Edward is so friendly and even recommended a delicious ice cream and cake dessert to top it all off. All in all, great visit so far.

Hotel's Favourite
First things first: It may seem like a few extra bucks that you could spend elsewhere but 2 things in Aruba are worth the money, The Royal Level at Barcelo and a Rental Car, which you will not regret either. Check-In (3 Stars): A breeze once you know where you are going. Thankfully we got there at a good time and the concierge was able to escort us to the 9th floor to check-in. Sandra and Veronica make you feel very special. Room: The rooms are clean, covid safe, and the towers are close to everything. The hotel is small for a Caribbean resort which was great because you could get to the pool and beach quickly. Food and Drinks: This is where the Royal level comes in handy. Having that black bracelet entitles you bars that serve the better stuff, Bacardi, Goose, Patron. Dinner isn't anything spectacular but it isn't bad either. The Royal Level exclusive restaurant was by far the best. The hotel is affordable enough, even at the royal level that you don't feel guilty treating yourself to a few of the great restaurants on the island (El Guacho is a personal fave). The service was good and they made you feel important and that goes a long way even when the food isn't as great as it's presented. The Resort: Small but plenty, it won't have the big shows you may be accustomed to in Cancun, but there is a nice lobby bar with acoustic performances, an activity team by the pool, and an abundance of chairs cabanas, and palapas. For the price, it is a 5-star resort just based on service.

We love this hotel! Clean, great staff, right on the beach… all of it was great! We especially liked that we chose the all-inclusive package with the swim-up bar! 😁 COVID19 guidelines were respected by everyone. The Zumba classes on the beach were fun too. Can’t wait to go back!
