Booked a last minute stay for our wedding anniversary ( I know I should plan better) unfortunately the upgraded room we booked wasn’t available but I was advised this before we arrived Great staff who were attentive and friendly We had a massage booked in the spa that was very nice. Didn’t use the gym but it looked lovely if that’s your thing we went for a jacuzzi instead food was lovely and the waiting staff looked after us well.

AWFUL with a capital A! Afternoon on tea consisted of; One finger sandwich One scone with no Jam And two other cakes! I’m not joking, that was it. The tea and coffee was 30 mins late, and no fresh water. Honestly please don’t bother. Go to the Angel in Abergavenny. At least they know how to deliver afternoon tea. Also the food was placed on one plate in the middle of the table. Wow, COVID! No respect for the new allergy law.

Organised a baby shower for my sister in law here in September 2021. Staff hospitality was lovely but the standard of food (afternoon tea) was poor and I was absolutely appalled. by the state of the toilets which had clearly not been cleaned from the night before. We had one child with us for afternoon tea and her sandwiches and cakes were awful. Especially as she didn’t like hardly anything. We had paid for 10 and Mum was meant to be free. One of our guests couldn’t make it and we asked for a bag to take her cakes home and was told that we had gotten what we paid for even though Mum was meant to be free. I did not know about this situation until we had left and was left feeling disappointed having been the one who had organised it. Really disappointed with the afternoon tea and lack of cleanliness at the hotel. Will not be returning.

This place is full of staff who dont know what they are doing. Spa front of desk staff are very rude Spa therapists are the best staff they have. £9 for a drink in the restaurant. Yes thats right £9. Cheaper to drink cocktails from a bar with trained cocktail masters in a high end bar. £9 for a drink with no ice in cheap glasses from staff who look like they dont want to be there
