We return often to this hotel as it has a lovely feel to it . The restaurant serves excellent food and now there is a pool at the gun powder suites it is a great place to relax. Another reason we stay is the excellent water taxi service they run to a near by beach and also to snorkelling spots....

We have visited this historic hotel many times but only for drinks and food. We promised ourselves we would stay as well. we HAVE!!! Bad points: You would not pay £50 per night for this size room in the UK. Superior Hill View room. No space to unpack. There is a hairdryer but no mirror able o be used. The...

We spent our 2nd week in this quirky hotel. On arrival our room was not ready but we were told we could use the hotel facilities. We decided to go to the swimming pool area to catch some rays. You access the pool via a small boat across to the island from the main hotel. It only takes a few...

This was our second visit to Admiral's Inn. We had a room in Gunpowder Suites, across the water from the main building. A beautifully appointed room (Petrana) with a very nice balcony. The shower was particularly good, both in decor and water flow. Initially the internet was very hit and miss, but on raising this with management it was promptly...

I would say quirky is a great word to describe this hotel. It is absolutely not your typical Caribbean spot. That's exactly why we loved it. I usually read every review before I pick a place and for some reason did not this time. I didn't know it was 2 sides to the hotel. We had a garden room on...

It's hard to express in words how wonderful The Admiral's Inn and Gunpowder Suites are. The whole place simply oozes character and charm and this ooze is liberally spread about by the excellent staff. Now before I continue it's worth mentioning there are two very distinct parts to this hotel. There is the Admiral's Inn and Pillars restaurant and the...

One of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. The service is good and the staff are very friendly . The rooms are a good size. We had the mountain view which meant every other morning it was bit noisy with leaf blowers and gardening activity. There are no TVs or telephones in the room which is fantastic and...

We were told when arrived that the hotel had a quirky feel to it - and it does, it is small and intimate without being claustrophobic. The staff could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble, including storing a luggage when we went on a sailing course for 5 days in the middle of our stay....

The first place you go after being dropped off in English Harbour. Old building and nice to sit outside in the sunshine. Drinks service was slow as per the Caribbean style and quite expensive about 16 usd for a beer and a small wine.

We loved Admiral's Inn and Gunpowder Suites. We stayed in one of the newly constructed Gunpowder Suites. The view was inspiring, the room spacious and gracious with a fabulous porch overlooking the harbour. Midday meals at Boom restaurant were very good - evening meals at their Pillars restaurant were outstanding. We have since stayed at other "5-star" resorts on Antigua...and...
