Checked in was quick and were offered welcome drinks which we chose a glass of rose. A staff member showed us around the hotel and the room. Since it was quiet we got upgraded from a double room with terrace to a junior suite with a small heated pool. The room and furnishings were nice but no wow factor compared to Asia standard for a boutique resort. The room did not have enough lightings, would be good to have a light on the desk. There was complimentary water and some fruits and sweets in the room which was a nice touch. All the standard 5 star hotel’s amenities were available, however, we found the room maintenance was lacking and hotel needed to pay more attention and address it accordingly: the light in the pool area was missing a light shade; the small round makeup mirror in the bathroom just about fallen off, the shower head did not sit properly on the pole which made hair washing rather time consuming for someone with long hair. Toiletries were nice and had subtle smell.

Service was very good in general. Hotel staff turned up almost immediately to address minor problems or attend to our requests - fixing the shower head; delivering fresh milk, showing how to operate air-cond. Turn down service was good - old bath towels were removed, small biscuits given along with recommendations on what to do in the area. We had been to this area before so we’re just going to relax but found information on the Ochre Walk interesting therefore decided to do it and it was really good.

Buffet breakfast was fine & included in our special low season rate otherwise it would be €80 pp. Could not believe the charge for something that did not require much cooking except for bacon, eggs and sausages. That price was equivalent to one of their degustation dinner menus. Just did not make sense!. We requested for a small jug of milk to have with cups of tea in the room and was charged €4. That was rather poor taste and bad PR since many cheaper hotels or B&Bs provided free of charge as part of the service.

The hotel’s ground was nice and in a quiet area. It had nice views of surrounding areas.

Le Phébus is a luxurious place to stay to relax, discover the beautiful Luberon region and to savor delicious Provençal cuisine. Marine made my stay extra special by being open to Alex from Vinduo sending me alcohol free sparkling wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary in style at the wonderful Xavier Mathieu Michelin starred restaurant. She was constantly present with a smile and solutions for any special dietary / drinks requests. Marie from the bar makes an amazing mint infusion and is also very friendly and helpful. Jérôme from the reception desk gave us excellent suggestions for day trip itineraries. While the breakfasts were wonderful, the earliest time available is 8 a.m. For dinner at the Bistrot de La Fontaine, make sure to pack a warm sweater even during the summer as the wind can make for very chilly evenings. Luckily dinner was moved inside on our final evening due to exceptionally cold weather. Our room was very nice with a connected terrace and semi-private swimming pool. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend Le Phébus.

Staying at the Phebus is an experience you should try once in the life. Everything is incredibly perfect and the atmosphere you can breathe transmits positive vibes. A special thank to Gerome who helped us to feel like at home. The restaurant is probably the best one star michelin tried during our honeymoon and represent a true excellence. The only small fault was the absence of hair conditioner and body lotion and all cosmetics are "made in China ". It would be super to have French cosmetics from provence to increase ulteriorly the comfort of this relais. Thanks again to the entire staff for have gifted us a special honeymoon.

We came for 2 nights May 10th - 12th 2023. We started off with a fantastic massage upon arrival and we’re very much looking forward to a fabulous dinner but did it ever disappoint. Not what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The dishes were not explained upon delivery to the table and as am unable to eat fish the substation plate I received was dropped in front of me with “ a plate for the gentleman who can’t eat fish” I don’t even know what it was but it was a doughy tasteless dish? The other courses were small and over seasoned and overly small portions. For dinner I had “Lamb” it also was on the small side but my wife’s pork dish was hilarious it was maybe one ounce at best on a tablespoon of rice/risotto she cut it into two small piece and that was it we laughed and the sauce that accompanied it was so salty it was inedible. The only really decent dish was the soufflé for dessert it was fantastic. As we had ordered the 7 course meal we thought it might be accompanied by a cheese course as we saw the cheese cart go by, but after waiting 30-40 minutes after they removed our dessert we just decided to leave, we were not even offered coffee, tea or after dinner drinks, they just keeped walking past us like we weren’t even there. Upon leaving my wife asked if the cheese course was included with the 7 course dinner to a response that “no it is extra and you have to ask for it” Maybe in a Michelin star restaurant they could perhaps ask me if I would like a cheese course?? For the 185 euros per person i just feel that what we received was very very overpriced. It was so bad we cancelled our reservation at the cafe in the hotel this evening as we could only imagine what it would be like. I guess part of our disappointment was that we had just had one of the best dinners we have ever had at the Tiara Yaktsa hotel ( also a Relais and Chateau property) in Theoule Sur Mer at there Michelin Star restaurant L’Or Bleu. The difference was night and day on food quality and professionalism of service.

Lovely setting, lovely pool, lovely staff, lovely food.
Negatives:
Very patchy WiFi. If you need to stay connected, this is not the place for you.
Avoid their "Menu Pique-Nique". It's a rip-off. The € 35 "Pain du Boulanger avec assortiment de fromages de chèvre" turned out to be two identical small packaged cheeses in a big cardboard box without even a singly slice of bread !

We stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and well decorated. The flower package ordered for our arrival was a great selection of regional and seasonal flowers. We rounded off the trip with a great meal at La Table de Xavier Mathieu restaurant. Great food and service

One of the best places we stayed in Provence! We were in a lovely Suite with our very own pool. The property is beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. We never felt "crowded" since they have a limited number of rooms. The spa services were very good and the spa itself, was very enjoyable. We eat once on the property at Le Café de la Fontaine, which was excellent! Highly recommend this place! If you have the time, be sure to stay there at least 3 or more days. You'll thank me later.

This hotel promises a lot but its disjointed approach fails to deliver.
The service was very inconsistence. It went from being warm and charming at the Front Desk to dismissive and rude with the waiters.
We booked to eat at the Michelin Starred restaurant, La Table de Xavier Matthieu, but cancelled as a result of the terrible service we received from the waiters.
On the other hand, the spa team are very warm, welcoming and professional.

Nice place in a beautiful setting. Poor accessibility of room and all shared spaces for a person with a handicap. This is a big issue, known to staff, but complaint was ignored by owner. Breakfast was poor value for money. Pleasant late afternoon and evening atmosphere in Cafe de la Fontaine, main restaurant less interesting.

Overpriced. Some rooms much larger than others. Did a cooking class that included dinner and the portion was minuscule and only one small course and one small glass of wine. Minimum for a drink at the bar was 20 Euros and went way up from there.

Dear Mrs. Karlsson, We thank you for your feedback, We were very surprised to read your comment as you were still in our hotel when you write it as you did not mention anything at the front desk or to the manager. To clarify, you reserved a stay through a tour operator and the tour operator reserve a group cooking class. This cooking class was organized with a Chef for a duration of 3 hours (as you were in a large group, we split the group in 2 so every one can participate). At the end of the class, the Chef always do a tasting with the participants. It is included in the price of the cooking class, and we offer in plus a glass of wine. It is a small tasting and not an actual dinner and clearly written in our confirmation. We do offer dinner in our private cooking classes with a 5-course menu in our gastronomic restaurant. As you were quite disappointed to not have a proper dinner, our restaurant manager decided to offer a complimentary dessert from our gastronomic restaurant and a second glass of wine for the 17 people of your group. In our bar, only our cocktails and high-end spirituous are up than 18.00€. We offer glasses of wine from 12.00€. We are not a standardized hotel so all our rooms are different (which is the case in many hotels and Relais & Châteaux around the world), some are larger than the others, but the view can also be better in smaller rooms… We have the chance to be located in an exceptional and peaceful setting. We hope you enjoyed Provence and its gastronomy, Kind regards,
