The hotel grounds are lovely and the building itself has quite a lot of charm. Saying that, it's not up to standard in terms of room quality or service. The room had an odd smell, the bed was old and squeeks everytime you move. The TV is ancient and all the furniture is scuffed and a bit tired. I had...

I have been to the Maes Manor previously and the service was slow and food was so poor I had to send it back as it was burnt but I thought as it was a family occasion I would give it another chance; never ever again will I visit. The food took a really long time to come out and...

Went for a family occasion and will not ever be returning. Had to wait ages for the food to come and when it did it was tasteless and poor quality, particularly considering the prices charged. My food was poor from the start but became inedible half way through when I found a stock cube undissovled in the middle of the...

The sandwiches only had the crusts cut off in random places, and the cakes were the worst I have ever had. They had been defrosted and were very soggy and minute and were nearly all the same sort. My daughter wrote and complained to them on 2 occasions by post and they didn't have the decency to reply

The building outside and the grounds were very pretty and clean. Our family room which had an adjoining room for our daughter to sleep in. On inspection the outer door to the corridor had very little in the way of a lock. The basic 'Yale' type lock had come away from the door jam and a small bolt was present....

My wife and I recently visited for a wedding and was disappointed from start to finish. The place still smells of smoke from when you were able to smoke inside a premises. After the wedding ceremony the bride and groom were in the entrance to the venue ready to go outside for photos when the staff wheeled through a trolley...

We had our wedding reception at Maes Manor Hotel last weekend. From the start back in February 2016 we knew this was the stunning venue we were after! The scenery is stunning and the grounds are well looked after and just loved all of the outside space. The hotel is an old country house and what you would expect from...

We have just returned from 2 nights staying in this hotel. We were in a building at the back, like a coach house. The entrance was very shabby with a lump of plaster out of the wall, dirty paintwork etc. Our room was really dark and the electric lights made hardly any difference at all. There was no bedside light...
