We are a family run, relaxed hotel in a garden with parking in protected countryside above the legendary Butterfly Valley in Faralya. We have 10 ensuite rooms, one apart house and one interconnected room– some traditional timber chalets around our swimming pool and a few more stone built in the olive groves. They are modern with wifi access and air conditioning…In summer our dining room is outside on our terrace. We make as much use as possible of our own and local produce to create five course dinners. In winter, spring and autumn we are equipped for walkers who want to trek the famous Lycian Way and admire the wildlife – eagles, storks, even dragonflies and of course butterflies and wonderful fauna. In summer you can just laze around our pool or visit one of the five spectacular beaches nearby or go shopping in Fethiye. Our sunsets are spectacular. And being higher up the air is cooler than in the bottom of the valley where temperatures will be well over 30 degrees. We can also arrange boat trips and other excursions if you want to explore this historic and undiscovered part of the world. Some people call it paradise. Well, we like it anyway...Visit us and it will be our pleasure to show you why.

Stayed here on part of the Lycian Way with trekking group. Beautiful setting with views down the canyon . nice swimming pool. Delicious food. Hosts are so very nice & welcoming. It rained as we were there is April and they lite a lovely fire which added to great atmosphere. Rooms were great too. You will hear the mosque call-to-prayer.

We stayed here whilst passing through Faralya trekking the Lycian Way and it was perfect. Beautiful views, delicious home cooked proper food and a really welcoming host who went above and beyond what was necessary. All of the staff were really welcoming and friendly. I’d definitely recommend.

The hotel’s manager Bayram himself walked Likya Way many times. He know all the routes and alternative routes. He helped us take the southern route instead of Likya way to Kabak from Faralya. It was a small but incredible touch.

He also helped us with the logistics and helped us to be picked up from Gabak.

The rooms are very clean and cosy. Service is very nice. Food is excellent. If you tell them what you want to eat in the night from the morning they prepare your dish for you.

The fireplace in the restaurant is a perfect spot to end the long trekking day with a wine

We stayed right across from this place and visited it a couple of times. The layout and landscaping looked nice. We had dinner there one night and enjoyed the food. It was a set menu so we had soup, starters and the main course all of which we enjoyed . Staff was friendly and helpful. Spectacular views.

A little bit of paradise, have been many times and can’t fault it. The family run motel is special. The food delicious, the rooms are and all areas are kept to a very high standard. The pool is in such a beautiful setting and scrupiosly clean and clear. Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday tourism. The views a d sunsets are spectacular so didn’t want to come home.

We walked a small party of the Lycian Way and it was organized by Bayram who is the owner of Montenegro Motel. Bayram was utterly charming and did everything he possible could to make sure we had a fantastic holiday. He booked all the hotels and made all the arrangements for the taxis to take our luggage on each day. We were there for a week and had a wonderful time. We stayed in small family run hotels, which all had swimming pools and were spotlessly clean. We were on a full basis and were served the most delicious food. We were walking with our two teenage children and I can't recommend the walk or Bayram more highly.

Montenegro was one of the highlights of our trip. After a long, hot walk from the start of the Lycian Way at Ovacik, we were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Montenegro. After checking out George's House, we thought we would see what Montenegro was like since both had space. We were greeted with the best hospitality anyone could ask for. The cabins were an absolute dream for hikers. The meals were spectacular! Everything grown local, homemade soup, salad, mezes, an amazing entree and wonderful dessert. Breakfast was just as good. We were in heaven and felt as if we were treated like family.

The views are amazing, the location is peaceful and quiet. A slower pace than some of the other resort areas, but a true taste of the Turkish hospitality, culture and way of life.

Also a word of caution as it seemed that alot of travellers were confused about hiking down to Butterfly Valley. The only way down to Butterfly Valley if you are in Faralya is to hike down and the only way back is to hike up. There is no road at all down to the beach.. none. You either hike OR you take a boat from Oludeniz and then take the dolmus buses back to Faralya. We made the mistake of hiking 18 kms that day and then hiking down the Butterfly Valley so this may have contributed to the difficulty of the hike. This is not for the faint of heart and people have died on this climb. We are in our mid twenties and hike alot and it is extremely steep. I feel that people should really know how difficult this is before they attempt it and only do so if they are feeling adventurous. In hindsight I probably would not have hiked down if I had known what it would be like. Just thought you should all know this. The view is amazing though and don't discount Kabak beach either.. it may not get the credit it deserves.

We stayed at the Montenegro Motel as part of a 4 day hike of the Lycian Way. The location is gorgeous with spectacular views of the valley. It is particularly pretty at sunset. The food is very homely and tasty. They warm up the indoor dining room with a fire in cold weather. The cabins are also well heated. We enjoyed our stay.

I think about 10 ki;ometers. You cab take a domus to the beach. It goes every hour. Than you will have to walk for a bit. You can also make arrangemets with the motel to pick you up.
